"Uh- why?" Riya asked nervously.
"What do you mean why? It's a dare so you have to do it." Shahana said adamantly, confused by Riya's weird behavior.
"Can't I do like something else?" Riya asked while making eye contact with Aryan to tell him the situation that she was stuck in. When Aryan realized what Riya was trying to tell him, he went wide-eyed, not knowing what to do.
"Like we said before, a dare is a dare, so you have to do it." Shahana said with a smirk enjoying the 'deer caught in headlights look on Riya's face.
"But why do you want to know?" Riya asked curiously, trying to prolong reading the text.
"It's just a simple dare. But, why don't you want to tell us, do you have something to hide?" Shahana asked with a knowing smirk, making Riya realize that Shahana was on to them. While Aryan just looked between Shahana and Riya helplessly, calm on the outside, but panicking inside.
"I feel like we're missing something here." Ranbir said jokingly as he watched the challenging stare-down between Riya and Shahana, genuinely confused.
"Yeah you guys are acting really weird, Riu just read the last text you received, it can't be that bad." Prachi said confused as to why a simple text was becoming such a big thing.
"No!!" Aryan yelled as Riya reluctantly got out her phone from her pocket, making everyone look at him weirdly.
"Hah-- there-- was just a fly, I was telling it that-- no don't come near me." Aryan said with an awkward chuckle, making up an excuse, and waving his hand in the air to swat the nonexistent fly. While Shahana rolled her eyes at him, with a small smile, knowing what he was trying to do.
"We're still waiting, Riya." Shahana said with a smirk, turning her attention to Riya.
"Oh-- okay." Riya said fumbling with her phone for a bit, trying to think of a way to get out of this. While Aryan just had a regretful face thinking about how Shahana would end him if she find out that he planned to bring her here.
'I'm so sorry my precious phone, I don't want to do this but I have to. Your sacrifice will be remembered. You're dying an honorable death.' Riya thought to herself sadly.
Then Riya took a deep breath in, and...
Threw her phone across the room breaking it into pieces, shocking everyone.
"Oh, I guess my phone fell and broke, now I won't be able to read that text." Riya said with a shrug, but she was dying inside at seeing her phone's condition. While Aryan looked at Riya gratefully knowing what a great 'sacrifice' Riya had made for him.
"It didn't fall, you threw it!" Prachi yelled unbelievably, coming out of her shock.
"Fall or threw it doesn't matter, it's still broken anyway." Riya said with a smirk, knowing that she had won.
"Oh my God, what was so bad that you literally had to murder your phone to hide?" Ranbir asked jokingly, genuinely curious to know.
"Hey now guys leave Riya alone, her phone just slipped out of her hand and fell." Aryan said coming to Riya's defense, giving her an appreciative smile.
"Yes sure, fell out of her hand and landed 10 feet away." Prachi said sarcastically.
"Yeah, that's literally not possible if it only fell." Shahana who had been busy trying to read Riya and Aryan said raising an eyebrow.
"Well maybe I don't know my own strength, and thus only by technicality I don't have to complete the dare." Riya said with a victory smirk, while Aryan gave a relieved smile.
