Part 68- First Dates

"Hah. Look we're here and I didn't tell you where we were going the whole car ride." Aryan said proudly, smiling brightly, as he parked his car.

"Wait, wait no looking." Aryan said stopping Shahana from looking outside the window, by leaning over and joining their foreheads together so that the only thing Shahana saw was him.

"Can we go?" Shahana asked Aryan breaking him out of his trance, their foreheads still together.

"Oh, yeah sure." Aryan said moving away from Shahana. "But you have to close your eyes first." Aryan said smiling.

"But why? I won't be able to see anything." Shahana said confused, not knowing why Aryan had asked her to do that.

"Just trust me, Shahana." Aryan said gently, reassuring her, to which Shahana nodded her head and closed her eyes.

"Okay, now grab my hand and come out, keep your eyes closed, no peeking. " Aryan said getting out of the car and going over to Shahana's side, opening her door, and offering his hand.

"No, Aryan, just let me open my eyes, and I'll fall." Shahana said in a whiney voice.

"I won't let you fall, just take my hand." Aryan said gently causing Shahana to reach out a hand, which Aryan took in his own.

"Don't let go!" Shahana yelled out when Aryan abruptly let go of her hand, after helping her out of the car.

"I'm not letting go, I'm just putting a hand over your eyes, so you can't peek." Aryan said doing just that and then grabbing her hand again to lead the way.

"I swear to God Aryan if I fall, I will kill you!" Shahana yelled out when she stumbled over a rock on the ground, but Aryan was quick to steady her.

"You won't fall Shahana. I'm holding your hand after all. And I won't let go." Aryan said honestly, smiling softly.

"You won't let go of my hand, right?" Shahana asked gently, now more at ease, smiling softly.

"I will never let go of your hand, I promise." Aryan said with conviction.

"Even if I tell you to?" Shahana asked teasingly.

"Well I don't know why you would want to let go of my hand, I'm the great Aryan Khanna after all." Aryan said jokingly.

"But yes, even if you tell me to, I won't let go of your hand, I promise." Aryan said honestly, making Shahana smile as they walked towards their destination.

"Okay, you can open your eyes now." Aryan said as he now stood behind Shahana, who still had her eyes closed.

When Shahana opened her eyes, she was in awe, the floor she was standing on was covered in red heart-shaped balloons, all around. The room was dark, but bright, since glow-in-the-dark stars covered the ceiling, illuminating the room, and looking like real stars in the night sky.

There was a table in the middle with two burning candles on top of it, flowers petals, making a heart shape surrounding the floor around the table.

"Wow." Shahana whispered in amazement, breaking out of her trance.

"See, that's why you needed to close your eyes." Aryan said smiling, knowing that his surprise had worked.

"Yeah, I understand why now." Shahana said nodding her head in agreement.

"And that's why you should always listen to me." Aryan said gloating, while Shahana rolled her eyes and smiled.

"Who was your first best friend?" Aryan asked Shahana as they were now sitting down on the table, across from one another, having ordered food, and now playing the '20 questions' game.
