"Robin, where is everyone?" Alia asked as she entered the house, Purab entering behind her.
"Alia ma'am, Abhi sir and Meera ma'am didn't come back from work yet. And Aryan sir came back from college but he went out again. Riya ma'am did too." Robin informed Alia.
"Okay, then where is Priyanka?" Purab asked, standing next to Alia.
"Purab sir, Priyanka ma'am didn't come back from college yet." Robin informed Purab.
"So no one is home?" Purab asked rhetorically.
"Okay you can go now, thank you." Purab said dismissing Robin.
"I don't know what these kids do outside of this house all day. It's like they can't sit still in one place." Purab said to Alia with a sigh. But Alia did not reply, she was too busy smiling an undefinable smile.
"Don't go there, Alia." Purab said knowing exactly what Alia was thinking.
"What? I didn't even say anything." Alia said in her defense.
"You didn't have to, I know that you think that Aryan and Priyanka are together right now." Purab said knowingly.
"What? It's not a bad guess." Alia said with a soft smile.
"Priyanka could be with Riya or at still college." Purab said being the voice of reason.
"Yeah, I guess." Alia said slightly disappointed.
"But you know that there is definitely a girl in Aryan's life, so I might not be entirely wrong." Alia said happily.
"Oh, definitely there is a girl in his life. Have you seen the way he's been dressing the last few days? He's definitely trying to impress someone." Purab said with a chuckle.
"But we don't who that someone is, so don't get your hopes up." Purab said wisely.
"Only time will tell." Alia said in a slightly challenging tone, smiling softly.
"Only time will tell." Purab repeated in a just as challenging tone, raising an eyebrow, and giving a soft smile.
"Okay now come on, since it's only me and you here, let's start dinner because I know that the kids would've already eaten from outside." Purab said walking towards the kitchen with Alia following behind him.
"Can I help with cooking this time?" Alia asked excitedly.
"No, you're only allowed to cut vegetables and stuff, you're banned from going near the stove after last time." Purab said with a chuckle as he thought about what had happened.
"But it was only that one time." Alia said in a whiney voice.
"The answer is still no, or if I let you near a stove, the kids won't have a home to live in when they come back." Purab said jokingly, while Alia pouted cutely, reluctantly following Purab into the kitchen.

"Come on Shahana, it's not that hard." Aryan said as he was standing in front of Shahana who was still sitting in her chair.
"Aryan I already told you, I don't know how to dance." Shahana said in a whiney voice.
"Then I'll teach you, just at least give it a try." Aryan said extending a hand to ask Shahana for a dance.
Shahana did reluctantly take Aryan's hand and Aryan led her to the middle of the floor, putting his hands around her waist, and telling her to put a hand on his shoulder, grabbing her empty hand in his own.
"See this isn't so bad." As he and Shahana slowly began to waltz around to instrumental music, getting the rhythm.
"Yeah true." Shahana said in agreement, with a soft smile.
