"Where are we going?" Drishti asked for the tenth time as she and Riya entered a big shopping center.
"It's a surprise." Riya said once again as she called someone on her phone.
"I'm here, where are you guys?" Riya asked when the person picked up.
"Well I'm by the water fountain and she is somewhere collecting souvenirs as if she hasn't already been to Mumbai several times before. If I didn't know any better I would think that she is trying to avoid me." The boy said jokingly, making Riya chuckle.
"I don't see you, where are you?" Riya asked curiously as she made her way to the water fountain, looking around not noticing the amused smile on Drishti's face as she was looking over Riya's shoulder.
"Guess who?" Someone asked from behind Riya as two hands covered her eyes, blocking her vision.
"Oh I don't know- maybe an idiot that gets on my nerves." Riya said jokingly.
"What Riya? Why can't you ever play a game like it's supposed to be played?" The man asked in a whiney voice as he removed his hands from Riya's eyes, she turned around to look at none other than Rudra Mehra, her older cousin.
"I missed you." Riya said teary-eyed as she abruptly hugged Rudra so tightly that he stumbled a little because of the force of the hug.
"I missed you more." Rudra said he too teary-eyed as he Riya back tighter if that was even possible.
"Why must you make everything into a competition?" Riya asked with a teary chuckle as a few tears fell from her eyes.
"To keep you sharp, we can't have you being lazy, plus as your brother, it's my right to fight you on everything." Rudra said jokingly, as a few tears fell from his eyes too, Drishti smiling softly at their bond.
"Wow you guys met without me, and now you're crying without me too?" Asked a girl as she made her way towards them, joining their hug.
"What? You want to cry?" Rudra asked teasingly to none other than Maya Roy as all of them hugged each other tight.
"Only if we're all doing it, you know crying and hugging every time you guys meet." Maya said jokingly to lighten the mood, but Rudra and Riya just made faces at her, as they separated.
"We don't do that every time stop insulting us... by the way look I want you guys to meet someone... Rudra bhai, Maya di, this is Drishti di. Drishti di they are Rudra bhai and Maya di." Riya introduced.
"It's nice to meet you." Drishti said with a smile.
"Same here." Maya said with a smile too.
"It's great to meet you, now Maya-." Rudra began to say.
"Is it your first time in Mumbai?" Maya asked Drishti, purposely cutting Rudra off for some reason.
"Yeah." Drishti said happily.
"Great, then come on let's go souvenir shopping, you know to remember this trip." Maya said as she grabbed Drishti's hand to lead her to a store that she had just come out of. Both Rudra and Riya looked surprised.
"Okay now I think Maya di might actually be trying to avoid you." Riya whispered to Rudra as they followed behind them. How did they know that to be true? Maya was being way too friendly, it wasn't like her.
"I know, right? She's definitely up to something... but I guess it's a good thing because then her attention isn't on us." Rudra whispered back suspiciously.
"And we can do the... thing without raising any suspicion." Riya whispered excitedly.
"Yeah the thing." Rudra whispered with a dreamy smile looking as if he was going to fall to the floor because of his happiness.
