"What's happening here?" Aryan asked again, coming out of his shock.
"What do you... think... is happening... here?" Purab asked with awkward pauses, not knowing what to say.
"You know I'm not a kid anymore, you don't have to hide it from me anymore." Aryan said with a small smile.
"Uh, Aryan listen-." Alia began to say with a sigh, thinking that Aryan had found out about the truth of their relationship.
"Mom don't get so serious, I know you're making Dad sleep on the couch today as punishment for mentioning that kitchen incident." Aryan said with a chuckle, causing both Alia and Purab to breathe a silent sigh of relief.
"Yes, that's... exactly why it's to teach your Dad a lesson to not mess with me." Alia said pretend angry, trying to keep from smiling.
"You see this son? Your Mom is always so unfair to me." Purab said playing along with a fake cute pout on his face.
"Well maybe you shouldn't tease Mom all the time and then you wouldn't be in this situation." Aryan said making Purab shake his head.
"Hahaha. Come here my son, let me hug you." Alia said with a victory chuckle, giving Purab a smirk.
"And maybe you shouldn't take things so seriously, Dad was just joking." Aryan said as he sat down on the bed, side-hugging Alia, causing her to make a face.
"Hahahaha. Come here son let me hug you." Purab said with a victory chuckle longer than Alia's, getting up from the sofa to sit on the bed, hugging Aryan from the other side, and giving Alia a smirk.
"Both of you are insane." Aryan said with a chuckle, all of them hugging.
"And you still haven't changed." Alia said with a fond smile.
"You still can't pick sides." Purab said, shaking his head with a fond smile.
"Of course, I can't, I love you both equally." Aryan said honestly with a bright smile.
"And by that, he means that he loves me more." Alia said jokingly.
"No, he loves me more." Purab said just as jokingly.
"Dear God, did I just not say that I love you both equally?" Aryan said rolling his eyes at their antics with a soft smile.
"We're just kidding with you, son." Purab said with a soft smile, hugging him tighter.
"Yes, now tell us why you literally kicked our door down with such determination?" Alia asked jokingly, curious to know, as she hugged Aryan tighter too.
"Uh- okay I have something to tell you-." Aryan began to say trailing off mid-sentence.
"What is it?" Purab asked with a smile knowingly.
"Come on say it." Alia said with a smile too when Aryan remained silent, knowing what he wanted to say.
'I should say it.' One side of Aryan's mind thought determinedly
'But look at how happy they look, what if they don't like the news I'm about to give them?' Another side of Aryan's mind thought worriedly.
'You have to tell them someday, why not today?' One side of Aryan's mind reasoned.
'Not today but another day.' Another side of Aryan's mind thought.
'Coward.' One side of Aryan's mind mocked.
'Hey, I am not a-.' Another side of Aryan's mind began to say.
"Oye where are you lost, what did you want to tell us?" Purab asked snapping Aryan out of his thoughts.
