Part 97- A Victory Of Evil

Ranbir was tossing and turning on his bed trying to sleep, but his mind wouldn't shut off. Ranbir then aggravatedly sat up on the bed, only to be shocked by who he saw sitting on the sofa in the corner of his room.

"Prachi... you?" Ranbir asked shocked.

"What... are you doing here?" Ranbir asked unbelievably.

What? It's you who is lost in my thoughts." Prachi said with a smirk, coming to sit at the edge of Ranbir's bed.

"No, I'm not." Ranbir said unconvincingly, turning away from Prachi.

"Uh huh you so are." Prachi said teasingly.

"Hey now listen to me I am not lost in your thoughts it's you who entered my room in the middle of the night like a shameless person." Ranbir said in all seriousness.

"What are you even doing here anyway?" Ranbir asked confused, but Prachi just smiled at him.

"Oh hello, I asked what you're doing here." Ranbir said snapping his fingers to get Prachi's attention, but as soon as he did it was him who broke out of his trance, imaginary Prachi fading away.

"Oh, my God. I'm going crazy, that's the only explanation for this." Ranbir whispered to himself unbelievably looking around in shock for a bit, searching for Prachi, but then defeatedly laying back down on his bed. Putting a pillow over his face to block out his own, not knowing when he dozed off to sleep, dreaming dreams of Prachi.

"First she cries, but then acts as if nothing happened, and then she smiles so brightly for the rest of the time, could I have imagined the crying?" Prachi asked herself confusedly as she was laying on her bed, Shahana in the bathroom getting ready for bed.

'No the crying was definitely real, it took me a long time to quiet her down, and she was an absolute mess.' Prachi thought to herself worriedly.

'But then how did she have 360 degrees turn around the minute we went downstairs?' Prachi asked herself so very confused.

'It's something serious for sure, I've never seen Riu cry like that before.' Prachi thought worriedly.

'But what could it be?' Prachi asked searching her mind for an answer.

"I don't know, this is all so confusing." Prachi said out loud, covering her face with her blanket in annoyance.

'But you know Ranbir was acting weird too today.' Said a tiny voice in Prachi's mind, as she took off the blanket from her face

'What could be up with him?' Asked the tiny voice curiously.

'I don't know, he's Ranbir, he's always weird.' Prachi thought to herself.

'But this time it was different, this time he acting weirder than normal.' Said the voice again.

"I don't know, both Riya and Ranbir were acting weird today, it seems to be the theme of the day." Prachi said out loud half serious and half-jokingly.

But before Prachi could think more about it, Shahana came barging out of the bathroom.

"Prachi I have to tell you something." Shahana said with determination, confusing Prachi.

'Come on Shahana just do it, tell Prachi about your relationship with Aryan.' Shahana thought to herself, taking a deep breath in and...

"Wow what a dramatic entry, Meera auntie. What do you mean I can't drink the orange juice?" Riya asked curiously.

"Because you have to drink this milk first." Meera said smiling as she entered Riya's room, holding a glass of warm milk in her hands.
