Part 88- Unexpected Revelations

"Okay fine, I have to tell you, guys, something." Aryan said seriously, after a short silence, confusing his parents and Abhi, while everyone else looked surprised.

"So-." Aryan began to say with Riya wordlessly pleading with him to keep quiet, she was already in enough trouble, to begin with.

"Do you think right now is a good time to do this?" Purab asked for some reason.

"Well, I have to some time so why not now?" Aryan asked making a regretful face, thinking about the outcome of telling his parents this.

"But in front of everyone, right now?" Alia asked looking at both Aryan and Shahana. Both Alia and Purab think that Aryan was about to tell them about his relationship with Shahana.

"They're all family anyway, so it doesn't matter." Aryan said with a shrug, oblivious to what his parents were thinking.

"Okay if you say so." Purab said both him and Alia wondering why Aryan wanted to do this so quickly.

"So- do you remember... like almost like 8 or 9 years ago... both of you guys were on a business trip... and I think Abhi chaacho and Meera auntie had gone to work or something..." Aryan said going into storytelling mode again to prolong saying what had happened.

"Okay so, what happened after that?" Alia asked confused, sharing a 'this is not what we were expecting' look with Purab.

"So now both me and Ri were the only ones home and we got bored... so we thought why not go outside somewhere and have fun.... we were both teens at the time... so of course, none of us knew how to drive, and it was Sunday and that meant that all the drivers were on a break..." Aryan said with a regretful face, trailing off mid-sentence.

"What did you do?" Purab asked sternly.

"I got in the car and drove it to the movie theater but when we came back home as I parked the car it was still running so it started to roll backward and hit the other cars. You know the driver that you fired years ago, it wasn't his fault, it was us who left the car running." Aryan said quickly, out of breath, looking at the floor, not being able to face his parents, the room completely silent.

However, a noise made Aryan look up in confusion.

The noise was laughter.

Alia, Purab, and Abhi were all laughing.

'Maybe all of them are in shock, I mean they keep finding out truth after truth, so it might be possible.' Prachi thought to herself confused as she watched them laugh.

'Have their brains snapped or something?' Ranbir also thought to himself confused.

Maybe Aryan and Riya were thinking the same thing because both of them looked at each other in confusion wondering if their parents had lost their minds after learning the truth.

"Why would you tell us that?" Purab asked having a hard time controlling his laughter.

"Was it a dare or something?" Alia asked not fairing any better than Purab.

"If it was then someone lost a good opportunity for a good dare because we already know that it was you two idiots who wrecked those cars." Abhi said he too dying of laughter.

'Aww, I missed another chance.' Shahana thought to herself pouting cutely.

'Hahaha. I win. Wait what do they mean by that?' Aryan thought to himself with a victory smile but then became confused.

"What do mean you already knew?" Both Aryan and Riya said together, so very confused.

"So do you really think we don't have surveillance cameras outside of this house?" Alia asked with a chuckle.
