"So yes, Priyanka stole Aryan's chocolate, and then they involved innocent me in their fight." Riya said explaining why they had been chasing after each other in the college, as she was driving to Saritaji's house, Pragya was next to her in the passenger seat.
"Why couldn't Aryan just get another chocolate?" Pragya asked raising an eyebrow.
"Hawh Auntie how can Ari do that to his chocolate? He has to be loyal to his chocolate." Riya said dramatically, trying to keep from laughing because the 'chocolate' was a metaphor for Shahana.
"I didn't know that chocolate was so important." Pragya said with a chuckle, not understanding the sub-context.
"Oh, it is." Riya said, she too chuckling, but for different reasons.
But before Pragya could say anything else Riya's phone rang, which she picked up by swiping the little screen in her car, her phone is connected to the car's speakers.
"Oh.. haha... Riya ma'am... you picked up the call." Came Myra's voice with an awkward laugh, through the speakers.
"What do you mean? You're the one who called me. Was I not supposed to pick up?" Riya asked confused, raising an eyebrow, while Pragya also looked confused wondering who this person that Riya was talking to, was.
"I hoped that you wouldn't." Myra whispered to herself with a regretful face, but Riya heard her anyway.
"What happened?" Riya now asked in a low angry voice, in a business-like manner, knowing that something had gone wrong, in a no-nonsense way, Pragya looked surprised because she had never heard Riya sound like this before.
"Uhhh... someone... messed up... in the... design team... like really... badly." Myra said with awkward pauses in between, making a regretful face, knowing the outburst that was coming.
"How so?!" Riya yelled angrily, annoyed by Myra's half-complete answers, pressing on the break in her anger, making the car lurch forward, conveniently stopping in front of Saritaji's house. Pragya who was still very confused, nonetheless laid a hand on her arm to calm her down, and to Riya's utter surprise it worked, and she felt herself calming down at her mother's touch, unknown to the relationship they shared, but it all went to waste with what Myra said next.
"I don't know. Why are you yelling at me? I'm only your secretary, just the messenger. If you want to yell, then come yell at the person who messed up." Myra said quickly in a panic, hanging up on Riya in the heat of the moment.
"Oh, my God! Oh my God! What the hell did I just do?! I added fuel to her anger! The volcano is going to erupt! It's going to erupt badly!" Myra yelled instantly regretting her decision to hang up on Riya, scrambling off to find a place to hide for when Riya did come to the office.
Meanwhile in her car...
Riya remained silent for a bit, mouth slightly open, a look of absolute anger on her face, and if this were a cartoon, steam would come out of her ears because of how angry she was.
"What the fu-!" Riya began to yell coming out of her shock.
"I dare you to complete that sentence." Pragya said sternly cutting Riya off before she could finish the curse word, grabbing onto her ear as a warning, not pulling. Glaring daggers at Riya, looking much more angry than Riya had been not two seconds ago.
"I- nothing." Riya stuttered out as all anger left her, now looking like a scolded little kid, shrinking under Pragya's piercing glare.
"Good." Pragya said with a smile, trying to keep from chuckling at how petrified Riya looked, laying a gentle kiss on her cheek to reassure her that she wasn't in trouble, while Riya blushed slightly, smiling embarrassedly.
