"Prachi come on how long are you going to give me the silent treatment for?" Ranbir asked in a whiney voice as Prachi just turned her face to the other side, her arms crossed over her chest, she and Ranbir sitting in front of each other on a round table in a mostly empty ice cream shop.
"Okay, what do I have to do to get you to talk to me again?" Ranbir asked in a whiney voice, not liking Prachi's silence. When Prachi still didn't say anything Ranbir let out a sigh and got up, walking towards the bathroom in the shop. While Prachi finally looked up, watching him go in confusion, and then shrugging pretending as if she didn't care, looking out of the shop's window and watching the rain pour down to pass time.
"Madam ji, here you go, have some ice cream and cool down." Prachi heard someone with an accent say from behind her.
"Uh no-" Prachi began to say turning around to face the person only to make a disgusted face when she saw that it was only Ranbir, turning away from him again.
"I would also have some ice cream with you, but some wise girl once told me that my immune system was an embarrassment, so I'm not trying to take any chances." Ranbir said jokingly as he stood in front of Prachi who couldn't stop herself from smiling a little.
"I admit I was hurt by the girl's words, but soon realized that she was wise, all-knowing, a-." Ranbir began to say jokingly, buttering Prachi up.
"Shut up." Prachi said with a chuckle, finally speaking, and looking at Ranbir while shaking her head.
"Haye 'hasee toh phasee' am I right?' Ranbir asked jokingly as he sat back down at the table, feeling lighter and happier now that Prachi was finally talking to him.
"What is this? I don't like you. First you make me so angry but then you are the one who makes me laugh. I feel like I will develop a double personality if I hang out with you more." Prachi said jokingly.
"Hey you having a double personality will definitely make things more interesting, I can't wait." Ranbir said just as jokingly.
"Okay now, where is my ice cream?" Prachi asked curiously, raising an eyebrow with a teasing smile.
"What ice cream?" Ranbir asked confused.
"You know the one to help me cool down." Prachi said jokingly.
"You still want another one?" Ranbir asked unbelievably, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes, because as we've already covered, you're the one with the weak immune system, not me." Prachi said jokingly.
"We'll see how good your immune system works after so much ice cream." Ranbir said teasingly, gesturing to a waiter to come there.
"Can you get this one here another chocolate ice cream?" Ranbir asked the waiter.
"Sure sir.. but just a heads up we're about to close the shop in 15 minutes.. so it would be best if you guys could leave soon." The waiter said kindly as possible.
"Oh okay.. we're about to leave soon anyway." Ranbir lied, making eye contact with Prachi, both of them wondering what to do next.
"Great. I'll be back with the ice cream in a second." The waiter said as he left.
"What are we going to do now? This all your fault." Prachi said beginning to get angry again.
"Okay, okay, let me call Aryan again." Ranbir said quickly before Prachi could go off on him again.
"Come on please pick up." Ranbir whispered to himself desperately as he tried both Aryan and Riya's numbers only to be directed to voice mail.
"What are you doing?" Ranbir asked curiously as Prachi took out her own phone.
