Part 53- The Dreadful Past

Everyone around Riya outstretched a hand to catch her as she fainted. It was Prachi who ended up catching her because she was standing closest to Riya. Prachi wrapped both arms around Riya, side hugging her in a way to keep her upright, causing an unconscious Riya's head to fall on her shoulder for support.

"Riya what happened?! Please wake up!" Prachi said worriedly tapping Riya's cheek to wake her up.

"Beta, come on let's get Riya in the car!" Meera said springing into action.

"I'll take her." Rakshit said taking Riya from Prachi's arms and carrying her bridal style, before anyone could say anything, looking at an unconscious Riya like a worried brother. "Which car do you want to put in her?" Rakshit asked urgently.

"My car, I have a driver with me, it'll be easier to take her home." Meera said pointing towards her car, rushing towards it with Rakshit following behind her just as fast.

Rakshit lay Riya on the back seat of the car, while Meera held the door open. As Meera was about to get in the passenger seat, Prachi came up to her.

"Please Auntie, can I go with Riya?" Prachi asked distressed at seeing Riya's condition, she didn't know why she felt as if Riya being hurt was hurting her too. Ranbir had too come behind Prachi and was backing her up, wordlessly.

"Okay, both of you go with Riya, I'll follow behind you in Riya's car." Meera said not wanting to waste time and realizing how worried Prachi was for Riya.

Prachi and Ranbir gave a grateful smiles to Meera and got in the car. With Ranbir in the front seat next to the driver. And Prachi was in the back seat with Riya, laying Riya's head in her lap.

"You'll be okay." Prachi whispered to an unconscious Riya for her own piece of mind. Gently stroking her hair, as the car sped towards the Mehra mansion.

When Meera's car sped out of the restaurant's parking lot. Rakshit moved forward as if he wanted to follow it. Worry for Riya was clear on his face. But Arpita stopped him by shaking her head in a no gesture.

"Sorry, we have to cut this meeting short, I have to go." Meera said looking worried for Riya.

"Please go, we understand, I hope Ms. Mehra feels better." Arpita said as Meera got in Riya's car and left. While Rakshit looked concerned, wanting to see how Riya was. But he didn't have that right anymore.

Alia was shocked by who she saw in front of the Mehra mansion when she opened the door.

"What happened?! Why is Riya like that?!" Alia asked concerned when she saw Ranbir holding an unconscious Riya in his arms, bridal style, while Prachi stood next to them.

"Auntie Riya fainted at the restaurant and Meera auntie told us to take her home." Ranbir explained quickly.

"Okay, take her upstairs to her bedroom right now!" Purab who had come after hearing Alia's loud voice from the living room said worriedly.

"I'll call the doctor." Alia said fumbling with her phone a bit because of her worry. While Purab led the way to Riya's bedroom with Ranbir and Prachi following behind him.

They had settled Riya into her bed and the doctor that Alia had called was checking over Riya. While everyone stood by Riya's bedside far enough to give the doctor space but close enough that if Riya was to even move an inch, they would know.

"What was she doing when she fainted?" Dr. Joshi asked them while checking Riya's blood pressure.

"She wasn't doing anything, we were just standing and talking, and then she just fainted." Prachi said worriedly.
