Lotus. [10]

Fynn fell asleep on top of Amity, who was also asleep. "Carry the 4...Then multiply it by 2..." Luz muttered to herself.

She checked the time, and decided to call it a day. She put next week's homework in her bag, and zipped it up. Just as she did, the bookcase door opened. She looked back to see who it was. "Oh, hey...I haven't seen you in a few days Auntie..."

"Oh thank heavens, there she is." Lilith said, rushing to Amity.

She shook her, waking her up. "Huh.. Who..? Lilith..?" Amity mumbled, rubbing her eyes.

"Why weren't you home? I said I would be back at 9! It's 10:27!!"

"I was with Luz...And sleeping.." She said, yawning.

"I can see that! Why are you here is the question!!"

Amity yawned once again, and picked up Fynn. "Because I was with Luz..." She mumbled.

"Kid, what are you doing with my assistant?"

"Nothing, I swear.." Luz said, putting her hands up in the air, like a gun was being pointed at her.

"Alright, let's go home." Lilith said, going to leave.

"Come on Luz..." Amity said, rubbing her eye.

Fynn yawned, and fell back asleep in Amity's arms. "Okay, give me a minute. Luz said.

Amity nodded, and left. Luz grabbed her bag, and got up. She turned off the light, and left before the door closed. The lights were off, and no one was in. Just Lilith, Amity, Luz, and Fynn. Luz stayed behind, thinking about what happened earlier.

'I can't believe I told Amity about my past. She's probably going to tell everyone, I shouldn't have said anything.' She thought.

Amity yawned, and slowed down slightly. By this point, she was beside Luz. Dozing off slightly while walking.
"Wake up you idiot." Luz said, nudging her.

Amity shook her head, and yawned again. "Hey Lilith, your assistant is dozing off."

"AMITY!"

She shot up. "I'M UP." She shouted back.

Fynn also shot up, his claws sinking into Amity's arm. Luz scratched his chin, and he relaxed. Luz picked him up, and put him on her shoulder. She grabbed Amity's arm. "Puncture wounds. Good job Fynn." Luz said sarcastically.

Luz casted a spell, a healing spell, and the spell circle spun around and Amity's hand went through. The wounds slowly faded, and disappeared. "Better?"

Amity nodded slightly, and looked at her arm in amazement. "It's just a healing spell, nothing to exciting.."

"I need to learn that.." Amity mumbled.

"We'll figure out a way, don't worry." Luz said, nudging her.

                     ~The next day~

"Willow, come on...Leave her alone." Luz said, tugging at her arm.

Willow sighed, and gave in. She let go of Boshca's shirt, and stomped off. "She's getting there..." Boshca mumbled.

"Oh yeah, you like Willo–"

Boshca covered Luz's mouth. "Tell the whole school why don't you?"

Luz removed Boshca's hand from her mouth. "Everyone knows. Watch; HEY EVERYONE, WHO DOES BOSHCA LIKE!?" Luz shouted.

"WILLOW!!!" Nearly half the students shouted back.

Boshca was no longer pink, she was red. "Told you." Luz said, with a smug look on her face.

"Did you tell everyone?" Boshca mumbled.

"No, it's pretty obvious that you do."

Boshca trembled, and passed out. "Ay dios mío.." Luz mumbled.

                         ~Later~

"Hey Luz!!" Amity shouted from across the field.

Luz looked over at her, and hit the hall back, almost missing. "COME ON LUZ!! GET YOUR HEAD IN THE GAME!!" Her teammate shouted, hitting the ball back.

"Give me a minute Amity!!" Luz shouted, getting ready for the ball to come back.

The whistle blew, and Luz caught the ball. Her teammates groaned, including the other team. "Come on coach! We were so close!" The opposing teams captain shouted.

"Luz, you gotta go." He said pointing behind him.

"I know, I know." Luz said, handing the ball to her teammate. "See you guys next week for the match." Luz said, before going to the benches.

"Later Dork!" Her teammate said before serving the ball.

Luz grabbed her shirt from her bag, and looked over at Amity. "Could've cost us the game.." Luz said.

"Sorry..." Amity mumbled.

"It's fine, thankfully the whistle blew. What do you want?" Luz said, taking off her shirt.

"I- Uh...Class?" Amity stuttered.

Luz put on her daily school attire. "What about it?" Luz said, fixing her hair.

"C-Can I come with?" Amity mumbled, as her face reddened.

"Depends, are you going to pester me?" Luz asked, putting on her bag.

"More like Fynn is." Amity said, looking back.

He flew over to Luz, carrying a rose. "Hm, where did you get that?" Luz said, scratching his chin.

He trilled, and nuzzled her. "I didn't tell him to do that–"

"It's fine...I like roses, they're not my favorite, but still nice." Luz mumbled.

"What...What is your favorite flower?" Amity asked her.

"Lotus's. I've only seen them in books.
And like every flower, they have meanings..." Luz said, begining to walk inside.

"What does the lotus mean then?" Amity asked, following Luz.

"It's a symbol of purity... Although I don't believe in that stuff, I find the flower rather beautiful.." Luz said, looking back to hand the rose to Amity.

"No no, Fynn gave that to you..It's yours."

"I get to do what I want with it, here."

Amity cautiously took it, holding it in her right hand. "Thanks.."
