"Today we are here to decide how long this man gets to spend his time in prison. After saving this young witches life, we presume he gets a second chance." The Lady said, signaling to the man from the river.

He snapped out of his head, looking around. "I'm Jerry, with a y! Not an ie. That's kinda dumb."

Luz slapped her hand over Amity's mouth, not wanting the human to laugh in front of The Lady. "Jerry Pittsburg, please contain yourself. This is a serious matter you barbarian."

"Sorry Martha, didn't mean to interfere with my own trial.."

She scoffed, rolling her eyes. "You two are close I presume?" Luz asked, keeping her head low.

"We were dating when we were mere high schoolers! Don't you remember Martha? I took you out to the park every week yet you still hated me!"

Luz put both hands over Amity's mouth, knowing very well she would ask absurd questions. "We're doing a court proceeding you idiot!"

Luz cleared her throat, letting go of Amity. "Well, he explained that he did accidentally..Remove, two people off the Isles. But I did do some research and found out the father, aka the driver was..Intoxicated."

The Lady hummed, nodding slowly. "Yet he did fulfil 14/15 years. Yes he did break out, but that was fully on my..Dad..I watched the security footage, the guards slacking off the entire time." Luz muttered, looking over at the guards in the corner of the room.

They whistled, avoiding eye contact. "Arius did force Jerry out of the prison, knowing how smart he was, he was planning on doing something stupid with him. So I say give him the rest of his time, adding the the time he was out of his cell."

The Lady snapped, the rest of the lights turning on. "Alright Jerry, you have 3 months and 2 days left. Anything else you'd want to say?"

Luz stood up, Amity looking up at her. "I'd like to refer to him as my uncle."

Amity shook the witch violently outside of the court room. "Luz are you crazy?! You want a prisoner as an uncle!?"

Luz grabbed the human by her waist, pulling her close. "I have a dad, as a prisoner. I also have a tutoring schedule to approve of with the teacher and said student. So I'm going back to the school."

Amity sighed, nodding. "Okay, but be careful. Suspicious behavior must be reported to the nearest guard! That's what you told me, so now I'm telling it to you."

Luz kissed the humans forehead, letting her go. "I'm sleeping over today, Eda and my mom are having a date night. And King is sleeping over with the twins. I'll see you in the afternoon." Luz said, walking down the street.

Amity burried her face in her palms, letting out purrs the entire time.

"So you'll be put in on this date, you will need to be there at least a few minutes before said time I want or need you in. Is that okay?"

The student nodded, giving Luz a thumbs up. "Need you to fill this out, and I'll text you your schedule for the month." Luz said, sliding a paper over.

They took it, filling it out. "What if–" She cleared her throat. "What if I don't have a scroll?" She asked in a sweet tone.

Luz hummed, thinking about it. "Well where's somewhere you go every.. Wednesday?"

The girl thought about it. "The park!" She exclaimed in a high pitched tone, writing it down on the paper.

After awhile, she handed Luz the paper back, the hybrid examining it. "See you next week Aphrite!" Luz waved.

"Bye! See you around!" She called back, closing the door behind her.

Luz's smile dropped, not having a nice feeling about the new girl. 'Gotta keep my guard up around her..'

The witch got up, packing up her things. "Jazz. Get the drones on standby.." Luz muttered, her watch beeping in response.

"On standby. Awaiting your command Luz." It responded, beeping once more.

She put her bag over her shoulder, leaving the room. "Start the ball, look for an Illusion.."

A small ball like object popped out of her watch, getting small wings. It went down the hall, beginning its search. Luz left the school, knowing the probe would go back to Lilith's eventually. She programmed them to retreat to her current location after a search or they've completed their task.

Luz knocked on her aunt's door, waiting for it to open. It opened slowly, Amity peeking out. The witch went over to her, hugging her out of the blue. "L-Luz..?"

The witch yawned, resting her head on the human shoulder. "You tired witchy?"

Luz nodded, yawning again. "Go take a shower, Lilith's almost done with dinner."

The witch hummed, nodding again, already very tired.

Luz just wanted Amity to hurry up so she could sleep comfortably, but she was told to finish her food first. "Eating is such a hassle..It's so boring.." Luz groaned, moving her spoon around.

"Sleeping is also a hassle yet you have no problem cuddling with the human I'm taking care of." Lilith said, drinking some of the broth.

Luz sat up, looking at her aunt. "I see your point. Don't need to word it like that Lily." Luz muttered, continuing to eat her dinner.

Amity giggled, getting up. She took her bowl over to the sink to wash it. "Feed the pets when you're done, Dairy started getting a bit bigger yesterday."

The human nodded, washing her dish. After she put it away, she prepared the pets dinners, putting them in order from biggest to smallest. Fynn came over first, having to wake up both the stuffies first. Dairy followed, then Licorice. "I'm going to go take a shower." Amity said, pointing upstairs.

Lilith waved her off, the human going up to the restroom. Luz quickly finished her dinner, washing her bowl swiftly. She put it away, briefly petting Fynn before going upstairs. "Night Lilith!" Luz shouted.

The older witch rolled her eyes, continuing to calmly eat her dinner.

After about 15 minutes, Amity was finally ready to go to sleep. She passed Luz's room, going to her own. She opened the door, closing it behind herself. Amity went over to her bed, laying down on it. She sighed heavily, hearing her door open. Fynn chirped, letting go of the doorknob.

Amity giggled, calling over the Griffin. He chirruped, flying over to the human. Dairy squeaked, hopping in the room too. Fynn layed down beside Amity, waiting for the jackalope to come over and snuggle up against him. Dairy got on the bed, doing exactly what the Griffin wanted him to do. "Where's Licorice?"

Fynn cooed, putting his paw up and lazily signaling to Luz's room. Amity hummed, scratching his chin. "Well I'll see her in the morning then.. Good night you two."
