"Amity Blight..." The human muttered, burrying her face in her new teddy bear.

"Amity...Blight.." The nurse repeated, typing it in to her orb. "What was his name again?"

"King.." The demon mumbled, nuzzling in to Luz's chest.

"King..Okay. Hey Luz! Been awhile. Who are you guys here to visit?"

"The recent patients who arrived." Luz said, moving King's fur back.

The nurse nodded, handing the witch a note. "They're pass Death Ave. And in the recovery room." The nurse smiled.

"W-What's Death Ave..?" Amity asked.

"Well, when patients get sick but can never fully recover..They keep them company until they pass away.." Luz said.

"We don't like to see them go, but it's apart of life. Sometimes I like to think they just went back home, and that they're okay. I just think it to make me feel better about being a nurse." She said, smiling slightly.

"Do you visit them often?" Amity asked Luz.

"I try to, but being me? It's hard to make room for them. But when I do, I spend as much time as possible with the ones who are nearing their time." Luz said, guiding Amity down the hall. "And stay beside them till they do.." The witch mumbled.

Amity grabbed her hand, squeezing it tightly. "Do you make their favorite foods?" She asked.

King transferred to Amity's shoulder, sitting on her while he played with his stuffie. "Mhm. I get to know them a bit, then help them complete something they've wanted to do for awhile."

"Which one was your favorite?" The human asked.

"Mm..All of them. They're all different, not one had the same last wish or food. They're all special." Luz said. "Anyway, what do you plan on doing with the teachers anyway?"

"Saying an apology, maybe stay after school with them when the school is well. Not broken-"

"Whatever you say." Luz said, knocking on the door.

"Come in.." A few teachers said in unison.

Luz opened the door, both of the girls walking in. "Hey! How are you guys doing?" The witch asked.

"Eh..Old.." The Oracle teacher sighed.

"So pretty normal?" Luz teased.

A few of the teachers laughed, Amity joining in as well. "Always good to see you Luz." They all said.

"Yeah yeah. Anyways, since hospital food sucks, what do you guys want?" Luz asked, taking off her bag, walking to the first teacher on her left.

"Chicken curry please!"

"I want pasta with an extra piece of onion bread!"

"Your pawsome tacos!"

"Oh oh! The salsa wraps with the cute designs!"

"One at a time you guys!" Luz laughed.

The teachers are eating contentedly the human and demon asleep. Amity was resting her head on Luz's lap, King being hugged by the human in his sleep. "This'll never get old." A few teachers said in unison.

Luz leaned her head back, running her hand through the humans hair. "Why'd you really come?" The healing teacher asked.

"She wanted to come apologize." Luz said, signaling to Amity.

"Why did you come? If she wanted to apologize to us, she could've done it alone. And you would be at the school helping instead of with us." She went on.

The teachers looked at her questioningly. "Why do you think I came if you're so smart?" Luz scoffed.

"For her. Obviously." A teacher who taught math said, sipping her tea. "You haven't left her side since the incident. What's up with that?"

"There was...A problem a few days ago.." Luz mumbled.

The teachers looked at one another, then back at her. "She almost got shot.."

Amity's purrs grew as Luz continued running her hand through the humans hair. "She's okay, she probably already forgot about it. She's to optimistic to remember that though."

A teacher decided to change the subject. "Doctors told us we'll be out tomorrow." The science teacher said.

"Tommorow?" Luz repeated.

"Yep. In the afternoon. They just want to wait another day to be safe." She said.

"Can I have seconds?" The language arts teacher asked.

"Can you?" Luz asked.

The teachers began laughing at her. She grumbled angrily. "May I have seconds.."

"Was that a question or a suggestion?" Luz asked smugly.

"Bwahahaha!" The teachers laughed, pointing at the embarrassed teacher.

This is going to stick with her for awhile, let's hope she can get some small revenge eventually.
