Luz looked at the object her stepmom threw at her. It looked like a gear, but also like- "The missing piece.." Luz muttered, still examining it.

She put it somewhere in her bag, closing her bag and putting it back on her back. She looked up at the sky, the clouds all grey. She finally reached her aunt's house, knocking on the door. Lilith opened it after a few seconds, looking down at her niece.

"Oh, Amity's been wanting to see you all morning. She's in her room, won't go back to sleep till she says thank you." Lilith said, stepping aside.

Luz thanked her, going upstairs. She knocked on Amity's door, the human opening it herself. Once she saw Luz, her eyes lit up and she jumped into the witches arms. "Morning..How are you feeling..?" Luz asked, hesitantly hugging her back.

"Tired.." Amity mumbled, nuzzling in to the crook of the witches neck.

"I'll make you some tea. Then you'll head to bed..Okay?"

"Mm..Mhm.." Amity responded, a faint purr escaping her throat.

"Let go of me then." Luz giggled.

"No..I need you.." Amity muttered, her grip loosening.

"You're being deluisonal..You don't need me, you're just exhausted. Did you sleep last night..?" Luz asked, grabbing ahold of the humans hands.

"No..I wanted to say thank you.." Amity muttered, faltering back slightly.

"Was that the 'thank you' just now?" Luz asked, holding on to Amity's waist.

"No.." Amity muttered.

"You want to say it some other time? Or- Mmph!"

Amity gave the witch a kiss, putting her hand on Luz's shoulder. A short yet faint purr escaping Luz's throat. But the kiss wasn't long. Just as she pulled away, the human passed out.

The human didn't remember any of her last action when she woke up. Nothing. Not a single thing. Nada. Amity slowly sat up, groaning. "Hey, you okay?" Luz asked, handing her a cup of peppermint tea. "Careful, it's-"

Amity yelped pulling back after she took a sip. "-Hot.."

She winced, her tounge on fire. "How long was I out..?" Amity asked.

"Half an hour. How are you feeling..?" Luz asked, her knees up to her chest.

"Better. What's wrong? You don't look well..." Amity muttered.

"It's nothing..Don't worry about it. Do you want anything to eat?" Luz asked, standing up.

"Yeah. You can choose what to make, I don't mind." Amity said, blowing on the tea.

Luz nodded, leaving the room. She stood in the hall, out of view from Lilith and Amity. She ran her hand through her hair, confused, and glad? She kissed Amity, someone who wasn't staying for much longer. She couldn't fall for her, not at all. She had to put that behind her. 'It was just a simple mistake. She was exhausted, and not acting straight. She doesn't mean it.' Luz kept telling herself.

She breathed in, then out, before heading downstairs and into the kitchen.

"Is it safe to come in?" Luz asked, knocking on Amity's door.

"Yeah.." Amity muttered.

Luz opened the door, walking over to her. "You okay? You don't look 'better." Luz muttered, placing the bowl of hot soup on the bedside table.

"I just got a huge headache...And..Now you have 3 ducks over your head..? Am I going crazy..?" Amity asked, poking the witch.

"I'm very much sane. Thank you very much. Maybe you need to eat. I brought you lunch." Luz said, sitting down on the chair. "You okay?"

"Not okay.." Amity muttered, putting the blanket over herself.

"Hey, don't do that. You'll get even more sick." Luz said, taking the blanket from her.

She folded it neatly, placing it on her lap. "I'm cold.." Amity sniffled, bringing her knees up to her chest.

"If you eat, I'll give you the blanket back. Okay?"

The human nodded slowly, not moving her position. "You want me to feed you don't you?" Luz asked, her tone coming off pretty rudely.

Amity nodded, looking up at her nervously. She had tears on the brink of coming out. Luz shot up, putting her hand on the humans cheek. Lifting her head up. "Hey, listen to my voice..Okay..?" Luz said lowering her voice, almost in a whisper. "I'll help you out. Don't cry, you look alot better when you smile.." The witch said, wiping the human cheek from the tears that managed to escape.

The human gave a light chuckle, leaning in to Luz's palm. "Now you're going to eat the vegetables. And if you don't, I won't make you jelly dinosaur sandwiches." The witch said, booping Amity's nose.

She smiled, the witch returning the smile back.

To be continued.
