Sorry for the late upload!

Been a week. Nothing special happend, don't worry readers. Just school stuff and projects. I promise, okay? If you don't believe me, I'll be happy to cancel book 2. No arguments? Good. Now on with the story.

"A week off? What happened?" Camilla asked.

Luz looked over at Amity, who was covering her face. "She let go of the abomination projects..And.."

"They set fire to a few of the classes.." Amity mumbled.

"And..?" Camilla questioned.

"The potions they were exposed to made them bigger..." Amity cowered.

"Amity, the rest of it." Luz demanded.

"Luz please don't make me say it.." Amity begged, holding on to the witches arm.

Luz sighed. "They went berserk and destroyed a few classrooms. A few teachers were injured, but they're healing as we speak. The dangerous carnivorous plants also escaped. A few of the lethal beasts were also released. The list goes on and on. Do you want me to continue?"

"Heck yeah!-"

Camilla slapped her hand over her wife's mouth, pointing towards the other human. Luz rested her head on Amity's as the human burried her face in the witches chest. "That's enough proof, we'll be going now." Camilla smiled, dragging her wife upstairs.

"The teachers know it was an accident. It's okay Amity."

"Can we go check..?" The human asked, tightening her grip on the witch.

"Okay..Go back home, I'll meet you at school in an hour. Okay?"

Amity nodded, purrs appearing. "I'll give you a few minutes." Luz whispered, picking up the human bridal style.

The humans purrs grew, as she held on to Luz.

"Take a sword. The plants bite." A staff member said.

Luz took her sword that was held in a little podium. Regular sword, just a purple handle. The staff held up a sword in front of the human. "She doesn't need it, I can take care of her."

Amity held on to Luz's arm nervously. She looked around, and everything was silent. The witch let this slide, guiding the human to the back of the school. "Ah, the one who caused this is h-"

Luz lifted the witches head with her sword, her left hand on Amity's waist. They went stiff, putting their hands up. "Oh look, someone I don't care about." Luz said in a bitter tone. "Care to continue that sentence?"

They swallowed the lump in their throat. "N-No.."

Luz put the sword back on her back, the witch running away. Our witch continued leading the way, where other witches were. "Luz? That you?" A witch asked.

"Viney? What are you doing here?" Our witch asked.

"Heard the animals got out, wanted to find them." Viney said, hugging her.

Amity laughed nervously, knowing it was her fault. "This student let them out, thought it was Amity. But it wasn't." Viney said, ruffling the humans hair.

"At least I won't get blamed if they do anything bad." Amity said.

"Most of them are trained, so they won't attack. The older ones just run or slither away." Viney shrugged. "Anyways, we're cleaning up some of the debris. And I'm so glad you're here Luz, we need your help to get the older Griffin's back. They've all flown away, and we can't find them.."

"You know I'm not that well without a rider Viney.." Luz muttered.

The witch thought about it. "Do you know how to ride a horse?"

'This is such a bad idea..' Luz thought, flapping her wings. 'I should've just done this on my own..'

"I can tell your nervous." Amity said, guiding Luz to the left. "I know how to ride a horse, a Griffin is no different you know that right?"

Luz slowed down, looking around. She stayed put, waiting for orders. Amity looked around as well, seeing movement down below. The human guided the Griffin down to her left. She willingly went down, just following instructions, before halting a few feet above the ground. "There's nothing there, why aren't you landing?"

Luz snarled, keeping her feet up as she looked at the ground. She perked up, looking to her right. Luz shook it off, awaiting orders. Amity shrugged, thinking Luz heard something, and guided her to a clearing. The human jumped off, beginning to walk around.

The Griffin followed close behind, weary of her surroundings. Amity decided to break the small silence. "How big do enfield's get?" The human asked.

Luz looked over at her, thinking about it. She put her paw on Amity's head, pushing it down a bit. "That's still pretty big. So why am I not that tall?"

The Griffin shook her head, looking ahead. She stopped, perking up. Her pupil's contacted as she looked to her left. Luz ran over in the direction, jumping in the tall grass. "Luz! What are you doing!?"

She yelped, coming out of the grass with something in her mouth a minute later. It was a pouty Fenrir. "Oh you're so cute!" Amity said cheerfully, scratching its chin.

Its tail wagged slowly as it tried to nuzzle the human.

Luz dropped it, laying on top of it. "Luz what are you doing to it?!"

The Griffin licked her wound, scratching her ear a second later. Amity sat down in front of the Fenrir, moving its fur back. It yipped, nuzzling in to her hand everytime she passed its muzzle. "This a girl?" Amity asked.

Luz cooed, nudging the Fenrir. It barked in response. The Griffin shook her head. "So a boy then?"

No again. "Animals can be non-binary?" Amity questioned, extremely baffled.

The Fenrir barked again. "Does it have a name?"

Both animals shook their heads. Amity hummed, thinking of what she should call the Fenrir. "How about Devon?"

The Fenrir snarled. "Arin?"

It perked up, barking in agreement. "Nice to meet you Arin, you have any friends?"

Luz nudged it, cooing. "Are they an escapee?" Amity asked.

The Griffin nodded, standing up. She helped Amity back on, Arin getting on too. "Let's go find your friends buddy." Amity smiled, ruffling its fur.

To be continued.
