"Hoot! Morning Amity! What are youuu doing here?" Hooty asked opening the door.

Amity stepped inside, taking off her jacket. "It's a holiday today. Did you forget?"

Hooty chirped, spinning around. "If you're looking for Luz she isn't here~~ Hoot!"

Amity perked up, looking back at the door. "Where is she then?"

He extended, going over to the kitchen. He came over to Amity with a calendar in his mouth. He dropped it in front of her, going back to the door. Amity picked it up and read the date that was circled, getting her jacket. "Thanks Hooty! I'll see you around!" Amity shouted, leaving the house.

A military cadet made a noise that sounded like a scoff and a laugh, covering his mouth with his fist. Luz looked up at him, walking over to him. "Something funny?" She asked.

He saluted, shaking his head. "No ma'am."

His buddies shook their heads, looking away. "I advise you to spit it out." Luz muttered.

His left ear twitched, the witch crouching down slightly. "Aren't you a little to young to be here Princess?" He asked, booping her nose.

Luz kept a straight face, grabbing ahold of his wrist. "Can you do push-ups sir?"

He nodded, fixing his posture. "Not girl pushups, man pushups. Can you do those ma'am?" She asked.

His buddies snickered, the witch taking his wrist back. "Would you like to do a 1 on 1 with me?" Luz asked, walking towards the empty space beside them.

He pulled up his sleeves, walking close behind her. He went across from her, getting in a ready position. "You know it's always better to block your chest. Your heart is always most important." Luz said, moving her hair back. "Thought you knew."

He scoffed, rolling his eyes. "Come on, I'll let you get the first hit. Don't be shy."

He rushed over, about to get the first hit, only for his fist to get caught. "Now I can count this as self defense instead of murder." Luz smirked, kicking his shin.

He staggered down, trying to pick himself back up. She elbowed his neck, letting him get back up. He looked around groggily, seeing movement up ahead. She kicked behind his knee, the man staggering back down. He panted, laying down on the floor. Luz lifted his head up with her foot, looking down on him.

She smirked. "Can't believe you lost to a teen girl. What do you have to say for yourself cadet?"

"Sorry.." He mumbled.

Luz walked back to the group, the cadets getting back in position. "Right. Anyone else want to say something?"

One raised their hand, Luz looking over at him. "Why is there a girl coming this way?" He asked.

Luz looked back, letting out a yelp the second she was tackled. "Hey witchy!"

She sighed, smiling a bit. "Hey Amity. Suprised to see you."

Amity giggled, getting off the witch. She helped her up, Luz letting the human hug her. "What does everyone want to do for today?" Luz asked.

Luz sighed, not even budging to the next guy who tried to tackle her. He was the 8th guy who tried to push her down with the other guys. So now there were 8 guys trying to push her down, even pull her down with them. After the rest of the boys tried and got off the witch, it was Amity's turn.

Amity walked over to her, the witch just waiting for her to try. Amity stood in front of the witch, jumping in her arms. Luz staggered back a bit, holding on to the human. "I was tired, this was just a flaw." Luz mumbled.

Amity giggled, nuzzling in to the crook of her neck. Luz hummed, rubbing her back. "Any other ideas?" Luz asked.

They had a bad idea, I feel like they had a death wish if they actually did do this. Luz glared at the cadet that approached, tightening her grip on Amity. He neared, Luz pulling Amity back with her a bit. The human giggled, wrapping her arms around Luz's neck.

If you didn't know, which I'm pretty sure you should've already known, Luz loves Amity's hugs. If you try to take Amity away from her during a hug, she will attack. Amity rested her head on Luz's shoulder, knowing Luz would probably kick his butt if he tried to even touch her.

The cadet neared quietly, his arm getting in Luz's personal bubble only Amity was allowed in. She grabbed his wrist, about to snap it. "Don't. Touch. My. Human." She muttered in a bitter tone.

He yelped, pulling his hand back and running to the boys who already backed out. Luz huffed, letting go of Amity a bit. The human pulled back, Luz's ears going down slightly. "Can we sit down?"

The witch sighed in relief, nodding slowly. They sat down, Amity sitting in Luz's lap. The next guy approached, actually the last guy who wanted to participate. He was beefy, and was not afraid of any of the challenges he had to get to his position.

He cracked his knuckles, about to pick up Amity. Luz gave him a dead stare, her eyes narrowing. He went stiff, clenching his fists then realising his clenched hand. "O-On second thought I think I'll just go sit down–" He smiled nervously.

Luz huffed, looking at Amity. The human giggled, looking down at the witch she was on. "Good job Witchy." Amity smiled, kissing Luz's forehead.

The witch perked up, casting a spell. 'Poof' Luz's tail wagged as she leaned in closer to the human. Amity giggled again, kissing her snout. Luz's tail wagged furiously, the human continuing to kiss her snout. "Are you a good doggy? Are you a good doggy?" Amity asked in a baby tone, scratching Luz's chin.

The Cadejos foot tapped on the floor, lifting her head up. Luz nudged the human, pushing her down gently. She rested her head on Amity's chest. The cadets awhed, Luz's tail slowing down. She snarled, looking over at them. "You guys can go rest, she'll be there in a minute." Amity said.

They saluted, going to the rooms they had rented somewhat by Hexide. The human pushed Luz off, the Cadejos pouting. "Come on, where's your room?"

A female cadet knocked on the Luz's door, peeking in. "Luz..? Do we have the rest of the day off..?" She asked quietly, looking over at her bed.

She gasped silently, covering her mouth. She smiled a bit, leaving the room and closing it behind herself. Definitely going to spread the news to the others.

It's been about a week since Luz felt this relaxed before. Amity was on her back, the witch resting on her chest this time, the human running her hand through Luz's hair. Since Amity's sooo tiny, most of Luz's lower half was in between the humans legs, netheir of them uncomfortable.

Luz nuzzled in to Amity's chest slowly, warming up a bit. The human yawned, running her hand through Luz's hair. "Good witchy.." Amity mumbled, slowly dozing off.

Happy Veterans day! To those who have friends or family that were contributing to the army, don't forget to say thanks! Happy reading!
