Luz made dinner, then Alador had refused to allow the witch access to the guest bedroom, Amity's floor, the couch, and even Ghost's bed. She argued that she needed a place to sleep, but was given permission to sleep by Amity. The witch had noticed his plan, gave in, and made Amity embarrassed during the night because they both knew Alador was trying to take pics.

In the morning, Luz was first to rise, making breakfast. The witch rose her elbows, arms being wrapped around her waist. "Morning Amity." Luz greeted, flipping the egg.

"You left the bed.." Amity yawned.

"I did." Luz agreed.

"It was cold.."

"Yes it was."

Amity nuzzled in to Luz's back, the witch sliding the egg on top of toast. "Your breakfast is ready."

"Mm.."

The human grabbed her plate, letting Luz go, sitting down at the table, tiredly eating her meal. "Amity, close your mouth."

Amity jerked up, chewing on her toast, closing her eyes, "Tired.."

Luz turned off the stove, sliding the last egg on the toast, bringing two plates over, sitting by Amity. She lifted Amity's chin up, the human chewing quietly, "Mm..Good.."

"Cariño, focus on eating. We can take a nap together when the chores have been done."

Amity nodded slowly, lowering her head, taking a careful bite as to not make the yolk run down her hand. "Lean it back so if the yolk does pop, it can get on the warm whites and continue cooking."

The Blight leaned the toast back, taking a bite, the yolk flowing down the egg whites, part of it cooking, the rest soaking in to the toast. "Smart.." Amity mumbled, chewing.

Luz nodded, picking up her slice, "Good morning Alador."

The stairs creaked, Alador sheepishly coming down. "Morning.."

"I helped myself to your kitchen, I do hope that was alright." Luz said, poking Amity's cheek.

The human groaned quietly, waving Luz off, munching on her toast. "Let me eat slowly.."

"It's quite alright, didn't get to see you flip the egg huh?" Alador sat by her, taking his plate.

Luz shook her head, letting Amity rest her chin on Luz's hand. "She's so cute~" Luz teased, using her thumb to wipe Amity's cheek.

The Blight hummed quietly, placing down her toast, leaning in to Luz's palm. "Tired.."

"Finish breakfast, get dressed, and I'll get started on some chores so we can do the easier ones together. Then once we've finished, we can take a nap."

Amity relaxed, swallowing her bite, then she dozed off. Luz sighed, carefully getting up, picking Amity up. "No nooo..Wait.." Amity tensed, holding on to Luz. "I'll wake up.."

"I'll give you half an hour, you better be up by then so we can do chores." Luz said, rubbing Amity's back, heading to the stairs.

Amity dozed back off, relaxing in Luz's grasp, the witch heading up to let the Blight rest. "..Wife material, she has my permission." Alador nodded. "One hundred percent."

"You really don't have to, Luz." Alador mumbled, taking the laundry basket back.

The witch closed the lid, the water running, "I have more chores at home anyways. I'm used to much more work." Luz said, squeezing past him. "Amity! Are you up yet?!"

A small thud ensued upstairs, the door opening. "Yes.."

"Come here Cariño, all that's left is to wash dishes."

Amity came down, running her hand through her hair, "..Help..?"

"I'll braid it later, can you wash the dishes? I'll dry and put them away."

Amity nodded, both heading to the kitchen, "Straws go with spoons."

Luz nodded, glancing back at Alador. "You can help by throwing away the trash and cleaning Ghost's litter box." Luz said, picking up a dish towel, wiping the bowl.

Alador looked to his right, Ghost exiting her secret litter box, shaking herself. "Mew?"

"Sorry I'm late!" The door opened, a woman coming in. "Work.."

"In the living room dear!" Alador called out.

The woman slid off her heels, rushing over, "Ah- You must be Luz-"

The witch looked back, "Odalia, good morning Ms.." Luz greeted.

"Ooh so formal~" Odalia lightly shook her shoulders, going over to sit by her.

But when Luz growled, Odalia took a second to glance at where she was about to sit. "Oops- Sorry-" Odalia kissed Amity's head. "Hey honey."

Amity nuzzled Luz's thigh, purring quietly. "Hi mom.."

Odalia went to sit by Alador, both gazing at Luz. "So," Odalia began. "I get that you've been taking care of Amity for us?"

Luz nodded. "We were just talking about how Luz learnt to cook," Alador blurted out. "If she'd continue?"

"Oh- Uh-" Luz hummed. "My father liked to lock the cabinets when my mother was out of the house. But if he didn't leave me in my closet, I'd pick the locks and try to make something." Luz summoned her scroll, unlocking it, pulling up UsTube, sliding it over. "I watched a lot of videos to help.."

Odalia picked up the scroll nervously, handing it to Alador. He clicked the search bar, many of the results being on how to cook, survive, pick a lock, make friends, one of them, having caught his attention. "How to make a human like you."

Luz snapped, the scroll disappearing, "Not important-"

"Looked important." Alador teased.

"Is important." Odalia glanced at Amity.

"I think it's time for our nap." Luz got up quickly.

Amity groaned as her pillow had disappeared, sitting up, "Luz..?"

The witch went to the stairs, holding her arms out. The human lit up, rushing to Luz, the witch giving her a tight hug. "You alright Amity?" Luz asked softly.

"I just like your hugs." Amity hummed quietly, nuzzling in to the crook of Luz's neck. "They make me feel better."

The witch picked the human up, going upstairs, waving at the older Blights' before going to Amity's room. "Wife material." Odalia nodded when she heard the door close.

"Right? You have your mother's ring still, don't you?"

"..I should go look for it–"

"She's staying til Saturday by the way- Odalia- Hunny- HUNNY DON'T OPEN THAT–"

Odalia opened that. Out came a bunch of boxes filled with old newspapers, notebooks, toys, photos, smaller boxes and much more. Odalia paused, gazing at all the boxes. "Don't open that again next time. Got it."
