Suki was going to be pissed. You hadn't meant to be gone for so long but it had been out of your hands. Your village had needed you and you couldn't just leave in the middle of it all. All you could hope was that the rest of the Kyoshi warriors were still in Ba Sing Se.
You couldn't help but feel little afraid of the stares that you would get from the citizens of Ba Sing Se. They looked like they would attack at any second and you weren't sure you could handle dealing with an angry mob. Something told you that it dealt with your uniform and the fact that something had happened. Rushing to get to the upper ring, you finally reached the palace to find just 3 out of the 15 Kyoshi Warriors that often left the island to provide support.
"Oh, it's so good to see you guys. You had no idea how it was out there. They looked like they wanted to kill me for some reason. What happened?" The three of them turn around, making you realize that you had no idea who these women where and why they were wearing the gear. "Who are you guys? Where's Suki?"
"Suki? She left us in charge. We're new recruits. They had a run in with the Fire Nation princess and some of them couldn't make it. I'm sorry."
You forced yourself to push back your tears while clearing your throat.
"It's fine. There was nothing either of us could have done. What's the mission? Who did Suki leave in charge."
The one in the middle steps out while giving you a smile.
"Me. I'm Azula. This is Mai and Ty Lee."
Their names sounded familiar but you couldn't figure out from where.
"Have we met before?"
"I'm afraid not. I would've certainly remembered someone quite as beautiful as you. Our mission is to protect the king from the invaders of the Fire Nation. They've managed to infiltrate the city so we need to keep an eye for them."
You were certainly grateful for the white makeup that was covering your blush.
"Lets head inside then. We should let the king know that I'll be protecting him as well."

You spent most of your time with Azula considering the two of you protected the king at the same time. The 4 of you took turns in order to make sure that he wasn't left alone. While partnered with Azula, the two of you got to know each other. It wasn't hard to fall love with her. She was everything that you had ever looked for but what kept you back from revealing your feelings were the fact that they weren't truly Kyoshi Warriors. Their fighting style wasn't anything that you've ever seen before in the Earth Kingdom.
"You're not really a Kyoshi Warrior, are you?"
The two of you were laying in bed, resting after spending the day protecting the king.
