Katara woke up to find that you were gone. You were never an early riser so it made her immediately think that something was wrong.
"Toph! Toph! Wake up!"
"What?!"
Toph growled out as Katara rudely woke her up from her sleep.
"(y/n) is not here. Did you hear her get up?"
"No. She's probably getting us food. You know how she is."
"Yeah and so do you. You know that she's always the last one to wake up."
Toph quickly sits up. Katara was right, you were always the last one to wake up.
"No need to panic, Katara. I'm sure she's around here. Lets go get Sokka and Aang."

After getting the guys, the four of them searched around the house to find no trace of you.
"I don't like this. She doesn't usually leave without telling one of us. Something must have happened between when we fell asleep and when we woke up."
Katara takes a deep breath to calm herself down. Now they needed to find you and Appa. Things were just getting worse.
"Don't worry, sis. I'm sure we'll find her."
Toph didn't have the heart to tell them that it would be nearly impossible to find you in such a large city. It was already hard to search for something as big as Appa, it was going to be impossible to find someone that was hardly 1/4 of his size.

With you and Appa missing, the four of them worked nonstop to search for any clues to find you both. The city was quite large so it took several days to find a clue of what had happened.
"The Dai Lee are behind this? I can't believe it. We need to get them out now. Who knows what they could be doing?"
"Katara, we just can't go in there. Who knows what they have hidden in that cave. For all we know, it could be a trap."
Katara ignored Sokka and looked to Aang.
"Are you really going to let them keep Appa for another day when we can go in and save them?"
"No. I'm sorry Sokka but Katara is right. I can't just let him stay in there. He's been gone for so long."
It didn't matter to Toph if they had a plan or not to save the two of you but she wasn't going to let them go in alone. The three of them walked towards the entrance of the cave.
"Guys! Guys! Seriously!"

Katara's eyes widen when she spotted you at the end of the hallway. Unable to contain her excitement to see you again, she rushes to hug you.
"Wait Katara! I don't think...."
Aang is quick to block your blow our your flames as they almost hit Katara.
"(y/n)?"
You tilt your head to look at her curiously. You had been given a task, protect the room from any intruders and the people standing in front of you posed a threat to ruin your mission.
"You are trespassing. Trespassers get punished."
Katara's eyes widen when you run up to hit her. She's quick to pull out her water from the pouch to defend herself. Katara kept blocking all your attacks, refusing to hit you back. You weren't yourself, it was like you were hypnotized.
"(y/n)! It's me, Katara! I don't want to hurt you but I will if means it'll save your life. Please, snap out of it!"
You ignored her warnings, simply focusing on the task that you were assigned. Nothing else mattered other than protecting the door from intruders.
"Katara, she's not going to listen to us. We need to knock her out before she accidentally hurst us,"
"No! I'm not going to hurt her. I know she can snap out of it."
You continued throwing kicks and punches. Katara was getting exhausted from continued to block your hits and she knew she couldn't keep going forever, she had to do something. Not wanting to think twice about how stupid her idea could be, Katara gripped your shirt by the collar and pulled you in for a kiss.
When she finally pulls apart, it's clear to her that you weren't under any influence. You just looked at her with wide eyes, trying to figure out what just happened.
"I'm sorry, (y/n). I had to do something to snap you out of it. You were going to hurt us if I didn't do anything."
You touched your lips as you remember how soft Katara's were against yours.
"Why did you kiss me?"
"Huh?"
"You could've done anything else but you chose to kiss me?"
"It...It doesn't matter why I kissed you. All that matters is that you're okay."
Toph rolled her eyes, she couldn't believe how the two of you couldn't see how you were in love with the other. Even blind, she could still see it.
"The two of you are complete idiots. You both love each other. Now kiss and confess your feelings so we can go rescue Appa."
"Toph!"
"What? It's the truth Katara and you know it."
"She's right. I do love you, Katara."
Katara nearly got whiplash when she turned around so quickly to look at you.
"You do?"
"Yeah. There's no reason to hide it anymore. You already kissed me and Toph spilled all feelings to each other. Is it okay if I kiss you?"
Katara can only nod to give you permission.
"Finally! Now lets go!"
To break the two of you apart from the kiss, Toph pushes past you to get through the door. She was happy for the both of you but she was not going to stand there and listen to the two of you kiss.
