You knew you were close to the exist. Just a couple of more steps and you were able to sneak out without Asami finding out. You loved your sister but she could be overprotective. It was impossible to have some alone time because she was afraid of you hurting yourself or someone taking advantage of you. The only times that you had been able to spend by yourself were because you had sneaked of.
"Just where do you think you're going, (y/n)?"
You jump, startled at her voice. You hated how she learned how to sneak up behind you.
"To get some fresh air."
Asami climbed down the set of stairs and grabbed the bag that you had been carrying.
"You don't need this if you're just going to step outside for some air."
"In town. I want to get some air downtown."
"Why didn't you tell me? I could go with you."
"I could go on my own. I don't need you to babysit with me."
Asami knew that she had to be careful with her next words. She could tell that you weren't happy and were trying hard to not go off on her.
"I wasn't going to babysit you. Just accompany you. But if you don't want me to go, I can call Korra, Mako or Bolin to go with you."
You took a deep breath, trying to calm yourself. Asami was only looking out for you and you didn't want to yell at her for doing so.
"I just want to go alone, Asami. I can take care of myself. Chief Beifong has guards stationed all over town."
"(y/n), please. It's dangerous. Kuvira could attack at any second."
"And the second that I hear the sounds of fighting, I'll rush back. I promise. I'll just be for a few minutes."
Asami stayed quiet while thinking about it. She knew the perfect person to accompany you. She just wasn't going to tell you. She hands you back the bag and opens the door for you.
"Just be careful. If you're not back the minute I hear fighting, I'm having everyone search for you. You understand?"
"Yes mom. I understand."
Asami tenses at the name but doesn't say anything about it. She watches you disappear down the walking path and then rushes back to her office to dial Zhu Li.

The minute you arrived at the park, you could feel that someone was trailing behind you. You couldn't see but you just had a gut feeling. One that never let you down.
"Korra, Mako or Bolin. I know you're there. Who did Asami sent this time to trail after me?"
It takes a minute for the person to introduce themselves. Their voice is one that you've never heard before and one that you never wanted to stop listening to. It was just so calming.
