You/Azula - Nonsense

Azula rolled her eyes as she watched you pace up and down your shared bedroom. She couldn't understand what you were so nervous about. She never got nervous when she gave her speeches. 

"Alright. That's enough. You're giving me a headache with all that pacing up and down. I don't understand why you're so worried about giving your speech."

"Because I've never done one! Why do I even need to give one? I'm just the Fire Lady, you're the Fire Lord. All I need to do is stand besides you to show my support."

Azula sighs as you continue your pacing. Wanting to help you out, she stands and blocks your path. She wraps her arms around your neck to hold you in place. 

"I want for the Fire Nation to see us as a united front. I don't want them to think that we're another set of rulers like my father and grandfather. I want them to see that you're also involved in the ruling of our nation. It's important for you to give speeches"

You place your hands on her waist and pull her into hug. Having her in your arms helped you deal with the nerves. 

"I just want you to know that I hate this and if I make a fool out of myself, I'm never talking to you."

Azula laughs and leans in to give you a quick kiss. 

"You won't make a fool out of yourself. You've had a lot of practice in the council meetings when I'm unable to attend. This is just another council meeting but a little bigger. You can do this."

You raise your eyebrow at the mention of the event being only a little bigger. 

"I think you need to go get your eyes checked because the crowd out their is not a little bigger than the council. It's a lot bigger. I could easily say it's 20x as big as the council."

There's a knock at your door, interrupting the two of you. Azula allows them to come in to see what they wanted. 

"Fire Lord Azula, Fire Lady (y/n)..." The man bows before he greets you. "Everything is ready for your speech. We're just waiting on the two of you."

"Thank you. We'll be out there in a few minutes."

He nods and excuses himself, leaving the two of you alone. Azula turns around for a second to watch him leave and then turns to face you, only to find you in a worse state. 

"You're going to be okay, (y/n). It's okay if you mess up. I messed up a lot of time when I first became Fire Lord. No one is going to make fun of you if the speech isn't perfect." She cups your cheeks and forces you to look straight at her. "If you really don't want to do this then I'll do the speech for you."

You sighed as you let your forehead against hers. Taking a couple of deep breaths, your panic had settled a little. 

"No, I got this. I need to do this or else I'll never get the courage to do so."

Azula smiles as she leans in to give you a soft kiss. 

"I'll be right beside you."
