"Must I meet the Avatar? I have other things to do father."
"You must! It's not up for discussion. It's an honor to have the Avatar come to Air Temple Island. As the only representatives of the Air Nation, we must give her a proper welcome."
You rolled your eyes and followed him to the ship that you had felt arrive.

"Avatar Korra, it is an honor."
Tenzin greets her. You could feel her go down the line until she's currently standing in front of you. You stick out your hand in hopes it meets with hers but you just end up hitting her stomach. You can't help but bite your lip when you're met with hard muscles.
"Forgive me, Avatar Korra. As you can see, I'm blind."
You tell her with a smile as you point to your eyes.
"Oh, it's fine. It's my fault anyways."
"Pay her no attention, Korra. She can use her air bending to have an idea of what's around her."
You roll your eyes and stick your tongue out to his general directions. You siblings quietly laugh, making Tenzin angry over how the four of you were behaving.
"Enough! (y/n), show Korra to her quarters. The rest of you, go and help your mother with dinner."
"Yes sir!"
Tenzin just covers his face with his hand as he watches you and Korra leave. He had been a fool to expect you to behave for just a minute.

You stand at the entrance of the building, using your air bending to find the only other opened room. To make it easier for you to find your room, everyone closed their doors so it was expected for the only other empty room to be Korra's
"This is where you'll be staying. Feel free to let me know if you need anything. My room is always opened. Literally, I must keep it open so I don't get lost in this building. I'll leave you to unpack. Dinner is at 6."
"Wait!" You turned to where you had heard her voice come from. "I wanted to apologize for earlier. I had no idea that you couldn't see."
"Please, you couldn't have known. I don't make it a habit of telling people that I'm blind."
Korra nods and then remembers that you couldn't see. She blushes brightly and is relieved that you aren't able to see her mistake.
"Right. Thank you. I'll see you for dinner."
You nod and head to your room.

You had honestly thought that having Korra come live in the island would be terrible but it had been the opposite. Korra made it a habit of disobeying Tenzin and you were glad to have a partner in crime. Your siblings disobeyed father too but it wasn't the same considering that they were still little. With Korra, you could now go out at night and explore the city with her help. Because of her, you had much more freedom. But that didn't matter anymore, with the two of you growing closer, all you wanted was to spend time with Korra. It's why you no longer complained when your father asked you to practice. The two of you knew that he didn't mean to fight against each other but it was better than to meditate.
"Don't hold back on me, Korra. I can take you."
Korra knew you could handle yourself but she was afraid of accidentally hurting you. With a deep breath, she threw the first punch. Using water as her preferred element while you effortlessly avoiding each throw until you stood behind her and pushed her down on her back. Not wanting to let her stand, you climbed on top of her, straddling her waist with her hand behind your back. Korra had purposely weakened her attacks and it pissed you off.
"I told you not to hold back on me."
"I didn't! I was giving it my all."
"Really? Then how come you're still letting me sit on your back?"
With a quick maneuver, Korra had switched places with you.
"Korra! How could you?! Can't you see that I'm blind?"
Korra stutters out a quick apology as she climbs off of you. You can't help but laugh as you stand.
"Ah man. I wish I could've seen your face. I bet you got all red, am I right?" Korra doesn't say anything. "Am I right?"
"You could be so infuriating, you know that?"
You give her a smirk.
"Don't tell me that you don't like it. I keep you on your toes."
"I can keep you on your toes too!"
"Really? Prove it"
Not one to back off from a challenge, Korra pushes you against one of the columns and kisses you. A second later and she's about to pull back and apologize but you just grip her shirt to pull her back in.
"Is that proof enough for you?"
She asks out of breath.
"I believe it is."
