"No, you can't go. I'm not letting you."
"Lin, I'm did not tell you to ask for permission. I'm telling you because I'm going to go. We need someone on the inside and I'm the only one that Kuvira has never met. I'm needed to be on the inside if we're going to defeat Kuvira."
Lin was nearly in tears. You had never seen her like this and it was making you second guess what you were about to do.
"We'll find out another way to get information. Kuvira will kill you if she finds out that you were double crossing."
You cupped Lin's cheek to make her look (up/down) at you. The two of you gazed into each other's eye. Never breaking eye contact as Lin began to cry.
"Trust me, Lin. Kuvira won't catch me. I've done several undercover operations and I've always come back to your arms. This time is not going to be different."
Lin kisses you deeply, only pulling away when you both run out of breath. Wiping away her tears, you kiss her once more.
"I have to go, Lin. I'll see you later, alright?"
"You better or I'm dragging your ass back here if you don't return."

The last time you had seen Lin was almost a month ago and you missed her terribly. The information you were getting from being Kuvira's confidant could turn the tide of the war so you couldn't leave anytime soon. Especially not after the fact that Baatar had betrayed Kuvira. Now Kuvira just had you and Zhu Li to depend on.
Bataar's betrayal had changed Kuvira. She was much more paranoid with everyone but you. You couldn't tell what made her trust you but you were glad for it. It made it easier to get information out of her and one step closer to ending Kuvira's reign.
"I have a surprise for you. This could really give us the advantage over the Avatar and we'll soon be able to unite the Empire Nation."
Kuvira steps out of the train with you in tow. You're not sure exactly what Kuvira is talking about but it must be something huge that not even you knew what it was.
"Does this thing have to do with Zhu Li? I haven't seen her since Zaofu."
"This has everything to do with Zhu Li, she was the one who finished after Varrick betrayed me. Now come quick. It's time to show you our ultimate weapon."
Your eyes widen when you're met with a large cannon. This was larger than any weapon you've ever seen. It was going to take a miracle to take this weapon out.
"This is...."
"I know. It's impressive. Come. It's ready to be tested."
Kuvira walks up the steps of the canon to stand beside Zhu Li.
"Whenever you're ready Zhu Li."
Zhu Li nods and makes her way to the control panel when an alarm starts to ring. Kuvira pays no attention as she looks to Zhu Li.
