Tonraq hated seeing the two of you together. Ever since your arrival, Senna had started to blow him off to spend time with you. It didn't bother him at first but when he started noticing her fall for you, he knew that he needed to do something before he lost her to you.
"Do you really think that it's a good idea to be with Senna?"
He cornered you as you were coming back from Senna's place. He hadn't planned to do anything but seeing you kiss her made him furious. It seemed like he had lost to you and there was only one thing left to try to get you to back off.
"Tonraq! I haven't see you in a while. How are you?"
You could see the anger in his eyes as he got closer. You didn't want to engage him in a fight so you decided to try to calm him down.
"That's because you've been spending all your time with Senna. She won't even spend time with anymore!"
"W..why don't you join us for dinner tomorrow? Senna plans..."
You let out a quiet gasp when your back finally hits a wall. You looked around to quickly get away but he was blocking the only exit.
"How about I take you spot? I'm sure Senna will be more than happy to have me as her guest."
"Tonraq..."
"Quiet!" He slams his fist on the side of your head, breaking through the wall of ice. The action makes you shut up. There was no getting him to calm down nor would you be able to fight back. A fight with him would ruin any negations that your father had been working with the water tribes. "You need to leave Senna alone. Do you really think that she'll go out with a fire bender? The fire nation and the water tribes are barely able to cooperate. If they learned about the two of you, how do you think they'll take it."
"They know Tonraq! They know that we're dating. Why can't you understand that Senna is happy with me. You're her friend."
"No!" Out of anger, he slams his fist straight to your face. "She's mine! We're meant to be together! Break up with her or I'll kill you!"
You're not even able to respond as he continues to throw punches at you. You do your best to block his attacks but there's only so much you could do. Attacking him was out of the question so all you could do was hope that he would eventually tire himself out.

Senna was just about to go to sleep when there's insistent knocking at her door.
"It's Tonraq and (y/n)! They're fighting!"
She doesn't bother to change out of her pajamas as she rushes to find the two of you. Senna didn't think that Tonraq would try anything but it seemed like she had thought too highly of him.

"That's enough, Tonraq!"
He freezes just before punching you again. When he locks eyes with her, he drops you and makes his way over to you.
"I won and that means you're all mine Senna. You can't be with someone that can't even defend themselves. You're better off with me!"
Senna just looks at him in horror, not believing this was the same man that she had been friends with.
"I never want to see you again! In fact, I'll have my father banish you from the tribe."
"Senna! Senna, lets talk about this."
She pushes him off so she could make her way over to you. By now, the entire tribe knew what had happened. Guards rushed to detain him while healers made their way over to tend to you.

Even with the help of the healers, it had taken you a while to fully recover from the attack. Throughout your recovery, Senna was always at your side, making sure to help out in any way she can. You often thought about quitting your therapy but she always pushed you to finish. After months of therapy, you had fully recovered. During your first week of returning to your old self, you spent it trying to figure out how to propose to her. The two of you had often talked about getting married but nothing was set in stone until you were given the all clear.
"...Senna, will you marry me?"
Senna was in tears at this point. She couldn't answer so she nodded and turned around so you could slip on the bethronal necklace that you had made for her that showed both of your nations.

A year after the wedding and the two of you were ready to have a child. 9 months later and Korra was born.
"You look really familiar. I feel like we've met before but surely I would remember meeting the avatar."
"I can assure you that we've never met but I have heard of you."
She answers bitterly.
"From your tone, I can assume that you've only heard lies then. I can assure you that I'm a respectable man."
Korra scoffs as she glares at a him.
"There's nothing respectable about a man that beats someone that won't fight back."
Tonraq starts to piece everything together.
"Senna and (y/n) are your parents."
"Yes. Just so you know. I'm glad that my mom choose (y/n) over you."
Tonraq just sat there, hating how he had been reminded of the fact that he had lost Senna. It's been years since his banishment and he still couldn't get over Senna.
