"I want them be ready at my signal. If Republic City attempts to place that idiot as the king of the Earth Kingdom, I want you to attack."
The soldier answers back but he speaks too quietly for you to listen in. When he approaches your way, you rush back to your private quarters. The conversation that you had overhead was still in your mind and you hated how it had managed to confirm your suspicions. The Kuvira that you had fallen in love with and decided to have a child with was long gone. In her place was a monster that didn't seem to care about anyone. You couldn't be with someone like that, you needed to leave before things got worse.
Quickly packing a bag with all the essentials, you ran to the only person that could help you. She had been kind to you when Kuvira introduced the two of you and you hoped she wouldn't turn you away.

Kuvira had been a mess when she learned you were gone. The only thing that kept her going was the fact that she was close to achieving her dream of reuniting all the Earth colonies. She hated that you had left her behind despite promising to always be at her side. So she used her anger and hurt to focus on reclaiming Republic City for the Earth Empire.
"If you continue on this path Kuvira, you will never be able to see (y/n) again! Don't you love her? Don't you...."
"You don't know anything, Avatar. Leave her out of this. This is between you and me."
"Then you've left me no choice, Kuvira."
With the help of the team, Korra is quickly able to take down the robot. Despite losing her main weapon, Kuvira refuses to give up. She continues to fight as if her life depended it. She had lost you, she wasn't going to lose the Earth Empire. Eventually, Korra is able to take her down. Kuvira is immediately placed in special cuffs and taken to the station.

It had taken a while to process her request but it was eventually granted after several months of going back and forth for approval.
"Welcome home, 'Vira."
Su greets her with a warm smile. Kuvira's eyes start to water at the hug she receives.
"I'm so sorry, Su. I never meant to hurt anyone."
Su just holds her in her arms, letting her cry out the tears that she had been holding in.
"Su, have you...."
You freeze when you spot Kuvira. You had known that she would be serving the rest of her sentence in Zaofu, you just hadn't expected for her to arrive sooner. You still hadn't moved out of the house.
"(y/n)?"
Kuvira pulled away from Su and made her way over to you. She stops when she sees you take a step back. Realization strikes when she sees the fear in your eyes. You had left because you were afraid of her. Afraid that she would hurt you or the child. The child that the two of you had been trying to conceive since the beginning of the year. From what she could tell, you were almost ready to give birth.
"Kuvira, I'm glad to see that you're well. I did not mean to interrupt. I leave the two of you alone."
You turn around and head back in the direction that you had come from. Kuvira doesn't bother to chase after you leave in a hurry.
"I really screwed up, didn't I?"
"You did. What I recommend is to be patient and understanding with her. I'm sure that she'll come around when she sees that you're trying to change."

Kuvira did as Suyin advised. She was patient and did everything she could to earn your trust again.
"I just want to forget about what you did but it's difficult, Kuvira."
"I know, (y/n). I'm so sorry for putting you in this position. I never meant for anything to get out of control. I'm trying to right my wrongs so that I can be there for our child."
"My child. We might be in talking terms again but I still have a hard time trusting you, Kuvira."
Kuvira wanted to cry but she held in her tears. She was the only one to blame for what happened.
"Right. I'm sorry."
You sigh and take a seat on her bed, unable to stand anymore.
"Just be patient with me. I want for you to raise them with me but I still need time."
"Of course! Whatever you need. I'll give you as much time as you need."
With a nod, you stand up and make your way out of her room.
"I want you in the delivery room with me, alright? I can't deliver this baby without you at my side."
