"Kya, your necklace? What happened to it?"
Kya, should've known that Tenzin wasn't going to hold back from asking his questions. She had to give him props for at least greeting her first.
"I'm engaged, Tenzin. They made this necklace for me."
"You're engaged! Why is this the first time that I'm hearing this? I didn't even know that you were dating anyone?! Who is she and why didn't she accompany you to republic city."
"She had stuff to do at the tribe but she'll be joining me in the coming days. I didn't introduce the two of you because you were going to scare her off like you did with my previous girlfriend."
"I didn't scare her off! She just couldn't handle the questions that I was asking her."
"You asked her if she would die for me! Who even asks that?!"
Not wanting to be bother by him any longer, Kya walked off of the deck to make her way inside the temple.

"Aunt Kya! You're here!"
All of Tenzin's kid rush up to hug her. Kya's always been their favorite aunt.
"Did you guys miss me? Because I missed the three of you. You all need to convince your father to start making the trip back home. Your grandma misses all of you."
"Grandma Katara?!"
"The one in only. I was supposed to keep quiet about this but I feel like the three of you should know. Grandma Katara is coming to visit." There's a mix of reaction. The kids are all happy to hear the news while Tenzin nearly groaned at the thought of his mother coming to visit. He loved her but his mother always had something to criticize him for. "I heard that Tenzin and I will be telling mom so expect some angry words with her."
He ignores her, not wanting to focus on Kya telling on him.
"So when is mom coming? Also, why is she coming? The last I heard, she didn't want to move from her home."
"Well Tenzin, if you would've bothered to write to us, you would've known that we're here to celebrate my engagement. Mother is coming to help us buy some of the stuff for the wedding. The Southern Water Tribe might be growing but it's still doesn't have everything that is needed for a wedding."
"So you really are engaged."
"Tenzin! Did you not hear a word that I said? I told you that my fiancee gave me this necklace and that she would be visiting us at a later day. What part of that did you not understand?"
"I just thought that you were kidding about being engaged. The last I heard, you still weren't over your ex."
Kya rolls his eyes at him, she loved her brother but it was difficult to love him when he never bothered to keep up with anyone.
