'Twas the day after Christmas, Annabeth woke up in somebody's arms! Whom could it be you may ask? Well none other than her boyfriend Percy, you idiot.

They went to bed angry, as you're never supposed to do. Well she did. Her father tried to stop by the Jackson residence and have a jolly ole Christmas with his daughter, but brought his other family as well. The twins, whom she usually doesn't mind, wreaked havoc on the apartment. They knocked over pictures, and messed with the decorations Sally had spent so much time putting up and together.

Christmas...

The destruction of the decorations was especially infuriating since she and Percy spent their time helping in putting them up. Sally on the other hand, having had raised the hectic-ness that is her boyfriend, was perfectly calm and collected. Percy had a slight eye twitch but stayed calm nonetheless.

It was Annabeth who lost it...

"Cut it out! Right. Now." She snarled. The boys stopped mid run with Bobby about to hit Matthew with a roll of wrapping paper.

"Annabeth!" Her step mother gasped. Percy knew he should step in, but unsure of what to do exactly, he only stood up and put a hand on the small of Annabeth's back. "You apologize to your brothers this instant young lady!"

Annabeth had steam coming out of her ears at this point. Percy, being able to read Annabeth like a book, guided her to his room to calm down.

"I can't believe them! They— They just show up to your house, and wreak havoc on all our hard work and— and it looked so nice, and pretty! It was so pretty Percy. They just ruined it." He kissed her forehead, and wiped the angry tears that had fallen.

"I know, but its okay, we had to take the decorations down eventually, so technically they helped!" Percy was desperately trying to spin this gods awful situation into a good one.

"We were supposed to wait till October of next year!" He chuckled.

"You and I both know that by the thirtieth you would have had us all running around packing it all up and getting us ready for New Years." He smiled cheekily at her.

She sat down on his bed pouting, and crossing her arms

"Not true."

"Okay Wise Girl. If you say so."

"No its not true! All my life I've wanted one Christmas with the decorations, and the presents, and the cozy Christmas morning with the hot cocoa, and awful Christmas music that we're sick of already, and the family. I wanted the family thats you. You're what I wanted this Christmas and my stupid brothers ruined it! They weren't even invited!" He sat down with his back against the headboard, pulled her to his chest, he wrapped his arms around her waist, and rested his head on her shoulder. She relaxed in his arms as she always did and relished the feeling of his presence. "And I wanted the 'not taking the decorations down till we need to put them back up again' experience. The best my dad does is a blank tree. He doesn't even put lights or ornaments like you guys."

"I know this Christmas wasn't ideal but maybe—"

"The last one was worse."

The last one, Percy was missing. It was supposed to be their first Christmas together as a happy couple, but Hera had other plans for them.

She had spent it crying in her dorm at boarding school until she got an IM from Sally begging her to not spend it alone in her dorm, and that she had to come over.
