Annabeth had been coming home late, as of late, and not that Percy didn't trust her, it was more that he was insecure about himself.

Then she started going on and on about this one guy in her group, how funny or charming Mason is. Or when Mason totally stumped the teacher with his own formula for calculating the dimensions that combined a bunch so all you had to do was one relatively complex equation.

"And then Mason, when he—" She cut herself off laughing, "He stood up in front of the professor, and- and-" She broke into another fit of laughter.

"Funny." Percy deadpanned.

"Then Cody— oh my gods, you just had to be there." She wiped a tear from her eye from laughing so hard.m

"I bet." Same tone as before.

"What's the matter with you?"

"Nothing."

"Bull shit."

"I'm fine Annabeth, clearly not as fine as Mason, but just fine."

"So it's about Mason?"

"Nobody said that. You're the one that won't shut up about the guy."

"Percy, just tell me what's bugging you."

"It's fine, Annabeth. I'm going to bed."

"Don't be like that, just use your words."

"It's nothing, Annabeth." He kissed the top of her head and stormed off to their bedroom.

She could hear the shower turn on. He never took showers at night, he was either really mad, and it happened on accident, or... well, he was having fun.

Sighing she grabbed her phone to talk to Piper. If there was anyone that could help her figure out what to do about Percy and his recent monotonous attitude, it would be Piper.

Despite it being a school night, she came over instantly.

"Annabeth." Piper was out of breath, and panting. "I-I'm here. Tell. Me. Everything."

Piper was maybe too excited. Almost everyone was under the impression that Percy and Annabeth were the perfect couple, with the perfect relationship, which is true, but they still fight, and argue, and— It wouldn't be a relationship without the downs, the not so fun parts. Because without the downs, there are no ups.

"Okay, so Mason..." Annabeth went on about Mason for half an hour, until Piper stopped her.

"Annabeth."

"And then he—"

"Annabeth!" She stopped, confused.

"What?"

"You haven't told me anything about Percy."

"Oh. I- I haven't?"

"No!"

"Oh." Annabeth sat there, trying to collect her thoughts back together to tell Piper her problem.

"I think I see the problem."

"You do? But I haven't told you anything about Percy."

"I know. That's the problem. You're over him."

"What?"

"You don't love him anymore."

"No, I love Percy, I'm in love with Percy."

"Could have fooled me."

"What do I do?"

"Start acting like it."
