Annabeth sat down with her lunch when Traci, who she could have sworn was an empousa, sat down across from her. She seemed to be her friend, but she heard the things she said about her behind Annabeth's back.

"I have the perfect guy for you Annie."

"Annabeth."

"Whatever. He has Black hair like that fake boyfriend of yours, and blue eyes. Not exactly sea green but close enough." Annabeth nodded, Percy would be coming over any second now. Just breathe through the anger she told herself. No need to attack this girl for being an idiot.

"Hey Wise Girl." Percy sat down next to her, and kissed her temple.

"Who are you?" Traci chided.

"Percy... why?" He looked at Annabeth who just rolled her eyes. Traci gave him a one over. "Who are you?"

"Traci. With an 'i', AKA Annabeth's best friend." Percy looked at his girlfriend, utterly confused. "What are you to her? Her cousin?" He snorted.

"No. I'm her boyfriend."

"Nice try, Annabeth's boyfriend isn't real." He looked down at himself, as if to check if he were real.

"I can assure you, I'm very real."

"Annabeth already has a boyfriend. Benson. Over there. Black hair, green eyes." He looked at Annabeth.

"Somebody has a type." She elbowed him. "Who knew I had competition." She closed her eyes and leaned on his shoulder, getting a headache.

"Traci can you just go?"

"Oh Benson!" The guy who was apparently Benson, perked up and came over. "Benson, Annabeth,
Annabeth, Benson." Percy got protective. He knew this guy was no real threat but he still wanted it to be known Annabeth was his and he was Annabeth's.

Benson squeezed in between Annabeth and Percy. He put an arm around Annabeth's waist. Big mistake Percy thought. Before he got a chance to teach this guy a lesson, Annabeth, had already dealt with him. She flung him right off the bench and he landed with a sickening crack. His head his Percy's bag so he didn't crack his head open, he'll just be real sore.

"Whats... your... problem?" Benson asked as he attempted to move. "Crazy psycho bitch."

"What did you call her?"

"Percy its fine lets just go."

"No what did he call you?"

"I called her what she is. A crazy. Psycho. Bitch." Percy charged Benson, tackling him to the ground.

"Percy!" He started punching Benson's face, till he was bloody, and Annabeth pulled him off. Thank the gods teachers couldn't care less what goes on between the kids. "Percy lets just go." Percy kicked Benson one last time, right where the sun don't shine. "Percy come on." She pulled him away. "Percy what the hades?"

"You heard what he said!"

"I know but you can't afford to get kicked out of another school. Especially Paul's. Now come on, lets get your hand bandaged up and and get you some ambrosia." She took his good hand and walked him to her locker.

She handed him a piece of the godly food. He took a bite into it. Ambrosia always tasted like his mom's cookies, fresh out of the oven. They even tasted blue. The second he swallowed it, his hand had already stopped throbbing. Perks of being half god he thought.

"Oooh what is that? It looks good! Can I have a piece?" They whipped their heads and found Percy's friend Jamie, she's in his marine bio class and they often team up for projects.

"Uhm... Annabeth?"

"We don't have enough... sorry."

"You have a whole bag."

"Its uhm my grandmother's recipe and she recently died, these are the last batch she made before she died." Annabeth just spewed out the most reasonable thing she could think of, unfortunately that was the best she could do after Percy beat that guy to a pulp and this girl snuck up on them.

"So not even a little?" Annabeth groaned internally.

"Sorry."

"Percy got some!"

"He's my boyfriend." She seemed like she wanted to protest but was out of reasons Annabeth should give her some.

Don't get Annabeth wrong. They had more than enough to share between the two of them and give a little to Jamie. Its just that even a crumb of the stuff would burn her to a crisp from the inside out.

"Your girlfriend's kinda mean Perce."

"No she was just uh... really close to her grandma. A-And I was there when she died, and I'm having a kinda crap day so she gave me some of her grandma's special... biscuits...?" Annabeth groaned internally, this day just keeps getting better and better!

"Perce, Sally's expecting us. Remember?" She was, well to her at least, obviously trying to get them out of this situation. Why does Percy have to be so charming that people feel so comfortable coming up to him? Dam that boy. When he processed what she said his eyes bulged out of his head.

"Yes! Yeah, mom is waiting for us."

"Its the middle of the day."

"We don't have any classes left for the day."

"We have marine bio Perce, did you forget? I thought it was your favorite?"

"Oh send me the notes?" She went to say something but Annabeth hooked herself under Percy's shoulder, and dragged him out of the school. He was so relieved to be out of school he wanted to just hug her so hard she would break. Knowing he'd hurt her, he resisted, and settled with a kiss on her temple.

"Percy what were you thinking attacking that benson guy?"

"You judo flipped him!"

"Yeah but he held me in such a way I was uncomfortable, you can't go around beating people to a pulp because they said something you didn't like."

"I don't do that! What I did was I beat him up because he was being a dick to you." She couldn't be mad at him. He was doing what she had always hoped someone would do for her, but she had to let him know it wasn't okay to go beating people up.

"Wait till I tell Sally."

"No please! She doesn't need to know, she'll get all sad and you know what my mom is like when she's sad. Its no fun, just looking at her and seeing the tears brimming, nobody needs that today." Annabeth knew he was right.

"Fine. This weekend we're talking about this."

"Why? Just be happy you have a badass boyfriend who'll kick anyone who dares to touch you's ass." She rolled her eyes and opened their bedroom door.

"I love you Percy."

"I love you more." She playfully slapped his shoulder.

"No way." He pulled her on the bed, and laid on top of her, and kissed her face all over. "Percy!"

"No."

"Ugh." She let herself melt.
