Sally POV

Percy's coming home today, and he's bringing Annabeth with him. Gods I love that girl, she's always so polite, and respectful. Even though she wasn't really raised she ended up more level headed than my own son. Its the kelp he has for brains, its not his fault I suppose. Paul hasn't met Annabeth and I can't wait to get his opinion on her.

Annabeth has been there for him since the start and I'd be lying if I said I didn't think they something more than friendship between them. When they came to talk to me before going and getting Rachel to lead them through the labyrinth, I could tell Annabeth was jealous, but Percy's so oblivious. I just hope he eventually figures it out.

"Sally!"

"Yes dear?"

"What should I wear?" He stepped out of the bathroom, his brown eyes sparkled when he looked at me.

"I'm not sure, something nice but comfortable. Its just Percy."

"He's a war hero isn't he?"

"Yes but he's still just Percy. He has so much respect for you that he's nervous to face you." There was a knock at the door. My heart nearly kept from my chest. "I'll get it." I ran to the best of my abilities to the door.

When I swung it open I hugged them both in a bone crushing hug.

"Hey Miss Jackson."

"Hey Mom."

"Annabeth, what have I told you so many times before!?"

"Sorry Sally." She looked at me sheepishly.

"Oh kids come in! Please." They had a different energy to them, something is definitely different. Percy's way happier than I've seen him in year, and as long as I've know Annabeth, I've never seen her as happy as she is now. "Why are you two so happy?" Percy wrapped an arms over Annabeth's shoulders and I hugged them. "Finally!"

"Mom!" Percy was beet red, but thats my job as his mother, what can I say. Annabeth laughed and kissed his cheek.

"Paul get in here! It happened!" Paul came out in a blue polo and gave Percy a handshake that turned into a guy hug.

"What happened?"

"This is Annabeth, Percy's girlfriend."

"It happened?! What about that Rachel girl?" I saw Annabeth's face change, into something I couldn't exactly read.

"She's the new Oracle actually." Percy cut in but Annabeth's face didn't change until he kissed her cheek.

"The... Oracle... As in telling the future Oracle?"

"Yes dear." He sat down, bewildered. I sometimes forget he's not used to the greek world being real.

"Cookies?" Percy's face lit up the way it always has when I offered him blue cookies.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw Annabeth play with Percy's hair and him blush.

"So are you guys free the rest of the summer?"

"No actually, Annabeth, is repairing Olympus, and I'm helping Chiron out at camp."

"I'm sure it doesn't hurt that the both of you will be staying at camp no?" They blushed. "I was a teenager at one point you know."

"Didn't you have Me at a young age?"

"Yeah I was nineteen, I blame Poseidon." The pipes rumbled, but stopped.

"I guess he heard you." Percy and Annabeth chuckled. They sounded so carefree and like real teenagers.

"I would like to visit your camp one day Percy." Paul said.

"Oh Paul, we've discussed this! Even if you tell Percy that you would like to see the camp, doesn't mean he has the power. We'd need the mist lifted." He humphed and sat back on the couch.

"Sorry Paul."

"Ah its alright. Its not your fault. ... Now tell me, Annabeth, you're sixteen as well?"

"Yes sir."

"Please call me Paul dear."

"Here you go..." I placed the cookies on the coffee table and kissed the top of Percy's head, and ruffled his hair.

They stayed for dinner, before having to head back to camp. Little did I know that would be the last time I got to see my son for a year and a half.
