42. I built a friend

A/N: Heyo so I had a one shot idea based off a song for Leo so here it is folks! (One time thing I promise)

Leo woke up to his Aunt Rosa crashing through the door.

"Get down here mijo." He scrambled and ran down the stairs. "I found this on the side of the road and thought you could do something with it. It was a disheveled motorized something. He could already see how the gears worked and had an idea.
"Thank you." He took it to the basement where he like to fiddle with things, away from his Aunt Rosa. He dissembled what was already built and started to rewire it.

Eventually he had built a friend. They did everything together. They spent everyday together. They were the best of friends. Leo didn't need anyone else he had his robot friend.(😬)

Soon Leo had to go off to college in September. He met Calypso, and didn't have a real reason to come home, his Aunt Rosa treated him like shit and what was he gonna go home for? A robot? No he wanted to stay with Calypso. All the time he used to spend with the friend that he built, he now spent it with Calypso. He was happy to do so as well. That is until one awful day when they had a fight, nothing too serious he just needed to get away for a day.

He went home. He figured his friend would be a good way to blow off some steam, have some fun, just hanging out as friends do. When he got home, he looked everywhere for his friend, he even called out for it. He decided that he was probably where they would always hang out. In the basement where he built his friend. When he got down there... his friend was there. Just... on the ground, short-circuiting. Next to the sparking robot was a letter.
Leo,
I'm sorry. I know you're upset, but I couldn't take it. Its so lonely without you around. How was I supposed to go from seeing you everyday to not seeing you at all. So I'll take this glass of water and whatever happens... happens.
