A/N: So yep this is definitely not my idea and it's definitely a rip off. I cant in good conscience call this a one shot book without this particular one shot. [They're not a couple in this AU]

Every Saturday Annabeth slips on her sneakers, tightens them and ties them off. She straightens out her multi layered, loose tank top and pulls up her Lululemon leggings with the fake pockets, and bright design. Another usual  of her Saturday night run is a certain sea green, seaweed brained boy that she can't for the life of her get out of her head. With his pearly white teeth that compliment his perfectly sculpted face how could anyone get him out of their head?

She punches in her workout on her watch, puts in an earbud, and starts her run. She starts with an uphill ascent towards the town and... a certain seaweed brained boy hits her like a truck. His eyes flash through her mind and she can smell his sea breeze scent and the feeling of his salty lips on hers. That night was truly magical though...

When she got to the party in her white crop top and light wash skinny jeans the stench of the alcohol tickled her nose and made her nauseous. That all went away when she was met with his sea green eyes and raven black hair.
"Hey Annabeth!" His feet were stumbling over each other. She put her hands on his broad shoulders to stabilize him. "I am so glad you made it! I was worried you weren't going to... uhm— come! I was worried you weren't gonna come."
"Well I'm here." He took her hand and ran into the basement. "Why?"
"We're playing truth or dare! Come on Annie let loose!"
"Alright, alright, lets do it."
"—Percy! Truth or dare?"
"Dare! I ain't no pussy!"
"The Stolls will make you a concoction that you must eat the whole thing!" He did. Next was Connor who had to streak around the block. Then it was Piper's turn who had to kiss Leo, much to Jason's dismay. Now... it is Annabeth's turn.
"Annabeth, truth or dare?"
"Come on Wise Girl! Do dare! Don't chicken out!" If anybody is to know anything about Annabeth its that first of all, she is no coward, and second she has a huge crush on Percy. Piper knowing this has the perfect dare for her.
"Fine! Dare! I'll go with dare!"
"I dare you to kiss Percy." She felt all the blood rush straight to her feet, keeping them planted in place.
"Oh I uh I don't know if thats a good idea."
"What do you mean Wise Girl!? Am I too ugly!?" They both were aware that he was being cocky but she still found it endearing.
"Get in the closet you two!" Piper, Leo, and Jason shoved them in the closet.

"We don't have to do this Per—" His lips were on hers and she felt nothing but fireworks dancing across her lips. Before she could stop herself she was kissing him back. His hands were in her hair and his, on her hips. She clenched the soft tufts in between her fingers, and all too soon there was a banging on the door.
"Alright you two detach ya faces!"

She tripped.
"Ow." One could say that she really... fell for Percy. When she trued to stand up on it, the ankle was too weak to hold her weight. "Crap." She took a look at where she was and could literally see Percy's house less than two houses away. "Shit."

She took out her phone and called him.
"Wise Girl?"
"Hey Seaweed Brain, I uhm... I'm hurt."
"Oh. W-what happened?"
"I fell."
"Oh." She could tell he didn't get why she called him.
"Outside your house..."
"Oh!"
"Yeah so uhm..." The door opened.
"Annabeth!" He jogged in what seemed like slow motion with his hair flopping over his eyes, and his good form, he swooped her into his arms. "What are you doing out here? Its like eight o'clock." She was a little awestruck, having had watched him rush to her aide and swept her off her feet, and cradled her as if she were the most precious thing on the earth.
"I was on a run—" She winced as he readjusted her in his arms. "A-and I tripped on something and now I'm here." He looked down at her and her heart skipped a beat.
"Well I'll get you patched up and on your way home."
"Thanks."
"Of course."

He laid her down on his couch, and handed her his glass of water. He grabbed an ice pack and a pillow for her ankle. He sat next to her and moved her legs so they were in his lap.
"So... how've you been?"
"Uhm I've been good you know... nothings up really. What about you?"
"Is it me or is this awkward since that uhm... that night?" She laughed nervously, not knowing how to continue.
"I mean..."
"I just mean, since you can't really run away from me. Lets talk about it."
"Oh...kay."
"I mean... d-did you feel something?"
"I'm not saying I didn't but that doesn't mean I—"
"What does it mean then?"
"I don't know! Why does it matter?!" He took her hand in his and looked her dead in the eye.
"It matters."
"I— I... I like you..." A big goofy grin spread across his face. "Now you're laughing at me!"
"I am not!"
"You so are!"
"I'm not. I'm not okay? You know why?"
"Why's that?" She managed to squeak out of her incredibly crimson face.
"I like you too." He cupped her cheek and ran the pad of his thumb across her cheek bone before he moved his hand to under her chin, and gently lifted it so he could lean down and kiss her.

When he did, the fireworks danced across both of their lips and down their spines. He lifted her onto his lap and held her close. She got another chance to pull at the soft tufts and was almost overwhelmed by his ocean scent.

If Percy was being honest with himself he wanted to tell her long before Piper's get together, but it ended up being the perfect opening for him to not only test the waters but to also see how she could feel. Because if she had said she felt nothing, he wouldn't have had to put himself out in the line of fire. But when she said she didn't feel nothing, he had enough confidence to put himself out there.
