Got this prompt from another one shot book!

Percy and Annabeth hadn't talked about their bubble in about a day, things were busy between her readying herself for the discussions with the gods about the reconstruction of Olympus, and helping the wounded. Percy tried to see her, and appreciate the fact that he could call her his own... well he was hers really.

Besides the weird relationship he had with Rachel, he had never had a girlfriend. What were they supposed to do? He knew that he had to take her out at some point... right? He thought it best to talk to the Aphrodite cabin... but then he remembered they were grieving hard, and being whipped into shape by the new head counselor, Drew. He had a few run ins with Drew, and she always looked at him like he was a piece of meat. He didn't like that very much.

He does however like the way Annabeth looks at him. She get this adorable gleam in her eyes, they brighten from a storm to a sterling, gorgeous silver. He loved everything about her. He knew she would want something more than a casual 'hey' every so often, and he also didn't want it to be awkward. And he knew he should do something nice for her. He would have picked flowers but the Demeter cabin shooed him away.

He wanted to make something for her in the forges, he was again shooed away after setting one of the Hephaestus campers on fire by accident. They too were grieving hard having not only lost their head counselor but their brothers and sisters. It made him hate Kronos even more, if possible.

He tried talking to Thalia while she was around, but she was busy making sure cabin eight was in pristine condition. He had nothing. Absolutely nothing. He was so desperate. He thought maybe he could take her to his dad's castle... until he remembered that Poseidon probably wouldn't appreciate an Athenian in his broken castle.

He was going to figure something else out, maybe with the Apollo cabin, but they like every other cabin except his, Zeus's, Hera's, and Hades' were all grieving. Even Annabeth seemed down. He so desperately wanted to cheer her up. He just didn't know how.

It was weird now, he was over the moon that anytime he saw her he could kiss her cheek or something like that, but it also put this weird strain on their conversations. Like there was this looming feeling of expectations not being met. It just all of a sudden felt like he knew absolutely nothing about her. Even being best friends for years, he somehow was blanking on everything he needed to know.

Then it hit him. Architecture. He could take her around the city, escape one day, and just go sightseeing. He was over the moon with his idea, he just needed to figure out a way for them to get places. He could call his mom... but then he's be bothering her from her time with Paul, who kicks butt by the way.

He could use Blackjack and Guido would be up for a teeny road trip. So he snuck off to the stables. It wasn't all that hard considering he wouldn't be much help anyways. All classes were on hold and reconstruction and organization was all anybody could handle right now. So, he was off to the horses.

"Hey guys."

"Yo Boss whats up?"

"I need to ask a favor of you and Guido..."

"If you brought some of those sugar cubes we're all ears." Percy tossed both Blackjack and Guido a sugar cube each. "Whats up Boss?"

"I need you guys to take Annabeth and me to the city this Friday?"

"Sure thing Boss, any particular reason?"

"No..." He couldn't keep the smile off his face. "Okay, okay, yeah, its— its our first date." Blackjack had some things to say that no one should ever have to hear coming from a horse...
