Percy didn't seem like the kind of guy she should go for. If anything he knew she was too good for him. He's just some punk, her father's words not theirs, and she belongs at the country club with another member's son (or daughter, we're not conservative here).

Just so long as they run in the same circle, Frederick Chase was okay with his daughter dating.

Percy Jackson wasn't even the pool boy, no. He skated by the dumpsters behind the club.

"Daddy, I'm just going to take the trash out, okay?" She kissed the top of her father's head.

"Okay, Pumpkin, but you know there's people we pay to do that."

"I know, I just figure that once I'm off to college, this year, I'll have to know how to do it."

"Good thinking, Annabeth. That's my girl."

When she reached the dumpsters, she looked around for him.

"Looking for someone?"

"Percy!" She rushed to him. "I missed you, how's your mom?" His hands fit perfectly around her waist. He always tasted a little salty, and reminded her of the beach. His perfectly messy raven black hair was more windswept than usual. She loved to try to fix it, she loved how soft it feels in her hands, and in between her fingers.

"She's better."

"That's so great. I'm so happy you're back, I didn't think I could take another bland moment in there."

"I missed you too, Wise Girl." She sighed contentedly. He was so pretty. "What're you thinking about?"

"Just how pretty you are."

"And may I say how handsome you are?" She punched his shoulder. "Ow, that's ny skating arm!"

"You don't need your arms to skate."

"You do for tricks!"

"Oh yeah?"

"Yeah."

"I bet you can't do the ones that need your arms anyways." She was egging him on, but only because she loved to watch him skate. Any reason to see him in his element was a good reason.

"Oh yeah? Is that a challenge?"

"It depends."

"I could prove you wrong."

"Then do it." They smirked at each other.

"I love you, you know."

"I know." She pushed him up against one of the big cargo boxes that the club used as a dumpster, and kissed him. Gods did it feel good to kiss him. She had to go two weeks without him. His mom, an aspiring author, needed his help to advertise her book. He pulled back as soon as they heard the doors open.

"Annabeth, hello? Annabeth?"

"Crap! That's Luke." She said, worry etched into her face. "Uh..." She looked around for something to give her an answer.

"You're right Miss, I shouldn't have been hanging around back here. I'll be right on my way." He kissed her cheek quickly before throwing his board down and making a quick escape.

"Annabeth, there you are, your father was wondering where you went."

"Well, I'm here! I was just teaching those skating hooligans a lesson, they should not be skating around here."

"Boy do I know it." Luke slung his arm over her shoulders. "Come on Annie, let's get you safely away from those garbage people."

"Thanks, Luke." She looked over her shoulder and caught Percy looking over the fence. He gave a small wave, she gave him a head bob before being completely dragged inside.
