62. Bacon

I have some longer one shots I'm working on so those'll be out soon but for now here's a cute small one.
"Percy" He groaned his response. "Percy. Percy! Hello!? Husband?"
"Y-yes babe?"
"What are you up to?"
"Sleeping."
"No."
"Please?"
"Sit up." He did as she said.
"Whats wrong?" Annabeth rolled her eyes at her husband.
"I'm getting up for the day, and if I fall down the stairs I'll crawl to the hospital and make sure not to wake you." He groaned and helped her put of bed. "Thank you." Another sound as a response. "Oh! You know what would be so good right now?"
"What?"
"Bacon."
"You want me to go out and get you bacon?"
"Yes and the cake you didn't get last night."
"Can I at least have coffee?"
"If I can't then neither can you."
"Right. I was uhm joking I definitely don't need anything to help me wake up." She kissed him, it woke him up. "We should do that more." She smiled at him, and he was more than happy to go get bacon.

he hopped in the car and was off. She started scouting the fridge for anything salty, she found bacon...
"Oops." Can't hurt to get more right?

When Percy came home the house smelled of bacon, he would have been mad but he just couldn't.
"Annabeth?"
"Percy!" She ran, to the best of her abilities to him, sliding into his arms.
"You're chipper."
"We had bacon."
"I see that, but now we have more. Plus a chocolate cake."
"Thats even better." She kissed his cheek, her lips were warm on his frigid cheeks. "Is it cold out?"
"Yeah, but thats okay we're warm at home."
"At least tomorrow is Sunday right?"
"I'll take paternity leave just for you."
"You're welcome." He kissed her, huffed, and broke open the cake, sitting at the kitchen table. "What do you think you're doing?" He took a bite.
"Cake." He said through a mouthful of cake.
"My cake." She took it out from under his fork.
"Hey! I went out and scavenged for that cake."
"But you did that for me." He was stunned as she took the cake to the couch and dug in.
"I knew I should have gotten two..." He grumbled, mostly to himself.
"What was that Seaweed Brain?"
"Just saying how much I love you...😘"
"Get over here."
"W-Why?"
"Why do you think I don't like you? I'm having a kid with you."
"Right." He went over and sat next to her.
"See. I don't bite."
"I guess." She stuck her tongue out at him. "Do I get a bite?"
"You had your bite."
"Right my bad." He put an arm around her shoulders, and kissed her temple.
"I suppose one more bight can't hurt..." She fed him a bite like it hurt her, then intentionally getting it on his nose.
"Hey!" He pouted and tried to lick the frosting off his nose. She just sat there giggling at him. He took the frosting from the lid and got it on her chin...
Then she started crying... "Crap I'm sorry." She started laughing again. "That was mean you meanie."
"You're too easy to trick!" Now he stuck his tongue out at her.

They turned on some cheesy eighties movies and Annabeth laid her head in his lap as he played with her curls.
"Love you." He said as he kissed her forehead and promptly fell asleep. And she smiled at her Husband.
