Summary: two idiots in love but scared to say anything and two kisses fucks them up

"I need you to kiss me." He looked up from the papers he was attempting to read.

"What?"

"I have a date and I swear I've forgotten what it's like to be kissed." Percy couldn't believe his ears. So he asked again.

"What?" She sighed.

"I need you to kiss me, Percy. I have the date with Luke tonight and he's going to try to kiss me but I haven't been kissed in... months and I swear I forget how to act when it happens.

"You want me to kiss you?" She nodded. She sat on the bed crosslegged facing him.

"Well..." She asked expectantly. He spluttered for a second but leaned in to kiss her.

It was everything he'd been hoping for. The fireworks, the buzzing sensation, the need for more, the warmth  that spread through his entire body. Everything.

She pulled away all too quickly. A little breathless she said. "Thanks."

"I- I mean yeah. Anytime." He felt like the wind had been completely knocked out of him. Like, he's been kissed before, and he's kissed people before... but not like that. That was other worldly, out of this world even. He's certain he'll never have a kiss like that again in his life. As sad as that is, at least he can die a happy man saying he kissed Annabeth Chase.

They heard a honk as she reapplied her lipstick. She rolled her eyes and headed out to Luke's car.

"Hey Babe."

"Hi, Luke." Annabeth's face was flushed, she hoped it was because of his oh so sweet, totally original, pet name for her, and not that kiss with Percy. Which by the way, had her lips tingle, and almost made her lean back in and kiss him over and over again. Because holy shit was that a great kiss. "W-Where are we headed for dinner?"

"I was thinking we could skip dinner and just catch a movie?"

"Oh..." Not what she'd been expecting... "Sure, whatever you'd like."

"Awesome."

Percy stayed up waiting for Annabeth to return. Where did that guy get off not coming to the door for starters, and not getting the car door for her? Maybe he was just raised better than that sleezeball.

Percy shrugged it off as he threw some popcorn in the microwave and turned on some mindless cartoon. It wasn't until it was past midnight, nearing one that Annabeth came home.

He stood up and straightened out his t-shirt.

"Hey, how'd the date go?"

"Can you kiss me again?" He stood still, uncertain he heard correct.

"Pardon?"

"Just kiss me, I need to see something." He did, except he took his time with this kiss. No way would he have another opportunity to just kiss her, not to mention twice in one night.

It was a slow burn kind of kiss, his hands fell naturally to her waist, hers against his chest. This kiss was different from the kiss she had with Luke. It felt like it meant something. Like she mattered to the person kissing her. With Luke it felt like he was just reciting a script of a kiss rather than the passionate improvisation of Percy's kiss.

Maybe she shouldn't be comparing the two, but Luke's kiss was boring, it wasn't what she was expecting. While she knew what to do and was ready for it, his kiss followed a blueprint.
