(Kind of based on a true story with my roommates and me) (nobody actually got expelled but it's Percypoo) also happy pride month!! Sorry for the angst but it's due time (not beta read and was made in one day)

"Expelled? What do you mean expelled?" Percy cried, outraged.

"I mean, Mr. Jackson, when you are caught with contraband, such as marijuana." The counselor pointed to his stash on her desk that the RA confiscated during a safety check of the dorms.

"It's barely an eight!"

"We have a zero tolerance policy, Mr. Jackson. If you haven't evacuated the premises by this time tomorrow we will have to forcefully remove you from the campus." The counselor said woefully. Her fingers were entwined, and folded over his record.

"Please, what am I supposed to tell my girlfriend?"

"I'm sorry, Mr. Jackson. Feel lucky that we didn't get the real police involved."

"Pot is legal in California!"

"Not for eighteen year olds."

"Whatever." He scoffed.

Percy shouldered his bag, feeling lucky to have gotten away with his pen.

Once Percy packed up his side of his dorm room he headed to Annabeth's. He should probably call her, but what's the point? He just got expelled from New Rome. The one place he was supposed to fit in and he (unsurprisingly) fucked it up. He fucked up at a place meant for fucked up kids.

Percy knocked on Annabeth's dorm room door, and waited. Nervously, he scratched the back of his neck, and tangled his hand in his hair.

Annabeth's roommate answered. "Percy?"

"Hey, Laney, is—uh, is Annabeth home?"

"She has class till four, but you're welcome to wait for her."

"Thanks." He stepped in and stood there awkwardly, waiting for her to ask about his plethora of bags.

"So, how's it going?" She asked, not looking at him.

"Oh, things could be better."

"Can I ask what's up with all the bags?"

"Oh, these bags?" He indicated to his bags.

"Yeah."

"I kind of got expelled."

"Oh."

"Yeah. Nothing new for me, but it still sucks, you know?"

"Oh I know." Laney paused, seeming to feel out his vibe. "I used to get kicked out of like every school when I was a kid."

"Me too!"

"It's probably a demigod thing."

"I don't know, Annabeth never got kicked out of school."

"Yeah, but she's a daughter of Minerva—" Laney sat on her bed that was across from Annabeth's.

"Athena."

"Right, Athena. I always forget she's greek. She's just so Roman in everything she does."

"What do you mean?"

"She's just more put togetehr than I expected when I heard my roommate was going to be a greek daughter of Minerva, Athena, what-have-you."

"Yeah. Maybe that's why I got expelled."

"What did they say to you— I mean— if you don't mind me asking— I'm sure this is a conversation you'd rather have with Annabeth."
