Colby's POV:

I glanced at my sleeping wife and ran a hand along her small bump.

Losing our first baby had been hard for both of us. But when she told me she was pregnant again, it was the best feeling, and I constantly hoped that this baby would make it. She was still in risk of early miscarriage, but this baby had already passed our first, sad as that is to say.

She stirred and placed a hand on mine. "Hi."

I smiled and squeezed her hand. "Hi. How are my girls today?"

"We're good. When's our flight?"

"In a few hours. Are you all packed?"

"Almost. I need to pack my toiletries and I need to shower."

"Why don't you shower and get ready and I'll finish packing, okay?"

"Are you sure? I mean, I can."

"Jules, it's my job to take care of you."

"It's my job to take care of you."

"Juliet, just go shower, okay? I'll make you breakfast and get everything packed."

She kissed my cheek and smiled. "I love you."

"I love you too."

She got up and instantly ran to the bathroom, presumably nauseous.

A couple minutes later, I heard the shower start running.

I gathered Juliet's things from the bathroom. I left her makeup, knowing she'd want to put it on.

She was singing Teenagers by My Chemical Romance, but replaced shit with heck, causing me to chuckle softly. I always loved when she replaced words, keeping true to herself.

Suddenly, I heard her yell, "Motherforker!"

"Babe? Are you okay?"

"Yeah, cut myself shaving. Hey, are we gonna go to Boston? I mean, I know with the pandemic and all, but I'd love to see my family."

"No promises, but we can see. Remember, we are gonna visit Brennen. He's been talking nonstop about seeing his Slytherin friend."

The shower turned off and moments later, the curtain opened and Jules stepped out, a towel wrapped around her.

"Did he really say that?" Jules asked.

"Yeah. Got most of your stuff packed. I'll let you get ready and I'll make something for us both to eat."

"Fluff -- no, wait. Nuggets and some sort of vegetable, please."

"Your wish is my command."

A few hours later, we boarded our flight and Jules rested her head on my shoulder and I squeezed her hand gently.

She smiled softly and continued resting her head on my shoulder.

Hours later, our flight ended and my parents picked us up at the airport.

My mom informed us that she had managed to get marshmallow fluff, which delighted my wife tremendously.

We made our way to my house and I looked around to see boxes.

"Are you guys-" I began.

"Moving?" my mom finished. "We are."

Koki came up to us and I picked her up. I offered her to Jules who cowered back slightly. Despite that she'd been around dogs more, she was still terrified of them.

"I'm sorry," she whispered.

I smiled softly. "Jules, it's okay."

"Your dogs are cute, I just-"

"Juliet, I get it. You don't have to be worried about what I think."

She returned my smile and gathered our bags.

I took Juliet's suitcase and she frowned. "I can carry my own suitcase, you know."

"You're pregnant," I reminded her.

"Nine weeks, almost ten. I can carry my suitcase."

"Nope. I got it." I lifted up both suitcases and shot her a smile.

She rolled her eyes. "Goodness you're annoying. But I can't argue with you when you've made up your mind, so go ahead. Take it."

Her tone of voice sounded slightly irritated and I glanced at her. "Are you challenging me or-"

She shook her head. "No, I'm just... I don't know. I already love this little girl, but if you're going to be super overprotective like this, I'm not looking forward to it."

I stroked her cheek. "I'm overprotective of you because of everything you've gone through. Can you blame me?"

"I don't blame you, but it is annoying."

"Only because I love you so much and if I lose you, I lose both my girls, and I don't want to think about that."

She stared at the ground and nodded. I lifted her chin. "Hey; I'll still let you do things. Just let me do the heavy things, like carrying your suitcase, okay?

Jules huffed. "Fine."

"Come on. Please don't be like that."

"Don't be like what, Colby? I agreed, didn't I?"

"Begrudgingly."

"Are we gonna fight? Because I'm tired and nauseous and don't have the energy."

"No, we're not gonna fight. I love you, Jules."

She kissed my cheek. "I love you too. Good night."

Jules laid on my bed and closed her eyes. I put a blanket over her and Koki hopped up on the bed and curled up next to her.
