Corey and Jake were running through the house, screaming.
I was absentmindedly watching Phineas and Ferb, trying to think of a video idea. Suddenly, inspiration struck.
I looked around for Colby and found him in the backyard. "Wanna do an updated Q&A?"
He nodded. "Sure. Send out a tweet asking viewers for questions. I'll get ready for recording."
I chuckled. "Good, 'cause you and I both know you need at least two hours to get ready. Oh, we'll record in my room, since it's actually clean."
He feigned offense. "How could you hurt me like that?"
"Just the truth, baby."
I kissed him and walked inside and began picking questions that people had tweeted. I planned on doing ten, so the video wouldn't be too long.
Nearly three hours later, Colby was ready.
He smiled, seeing me and frowned. "You changed."
I nodded. "Full emo outfit today. I dunno, I felt like embracing my dark self. And my MCR socks."
"Best part of your outfit. So, I'm assuming you've got the questions, ready?"
"Yup. Lemme start the video."
I turned on my camera, making sure it was recording and began my video. "Hello, world of YouTube. Today, I'm joined by my handsome fiancé. So, if you guys saw the tweet, we're going to be doing an updated Q&A. It's been awhile since we've done one, and obviously there's been a lot of changes. Colby, you're my question reader."
He took my phone and read the first question. ""When are you two getting married? 'Cause I know with the virus, it's hard.""
I smiled. "We've ordered our marriage license, so we're waiting on that. After that, well, we'll have to figure the whole marriage thing."
"Married in Hawaii. That sounds amazing. Second question. "I know you two have used songs to describe each other before, but would you change your songs?""
Colby nodded. "Yeah. My song for Jules would be Smithereens by Twenty One Pilots. Because, I'm sure as you know, I'd give my life for her and would get beat up to protect her."
I kissed his cheek. "Collar Full by Panic! at the Disco. And Always, also by Panic!"
He chuckled lightly. "Panic! huh? I'm honestly not surprised. Question three reads, "I don't know if this one's been done before. I'm a new fan. But anyway, what phrase would you describe each other with? 5 words or less; if you can.""
Colby wrapped an arm across my shoulder. "Love of my life."
My cheeks felt warm and I hid my face a moment before saying, "I can't say mine in five words. But I can say it in seven. The best thing to happen to me."
Colby smiled. "I'm the best thing to happen to you?"
"Yeah. Without you, I wouldn't be here."
"I'm glad you are."
"Me too."
He looked back at my phone. "Fourth question. "How are you two handling the pandemic?""
I moved my hair over my shoulder. "Pretty well. As you guys may know, we're both introverted, so staying at home is easy. We've also got a new house to explore, so that takes up time."
Colby nodded. "We've been going in the pool a lot, and she's notorious for causing splash fights from the stairs or the little table we have."
I chuckled lightly. "Splash fights are fun."
