Sam and Colby Biltmore Hotel

We made our way to the Biltmore Hotel and walked inside. I instantly did a 360, in awe of the hotel. It was beautiful.

I'd been persuaded to do it, so long as I didn't have to do a seance or any other stupid thing they might do.

Colby took my hand and started swinging it while Sam filmed.

As we looked at the hotel, Corey said, "This is like really fancy Medieval Times."

"Well over a hundred years old," Sam informed.

Jake pointed to the ceiling. "Whoa. Look at all the designs. Just the tiny detail."

"There's no turkey legs or swords," Corey said. "I hope there's wind."

I tried feeling for wind as Sam repeated, "Yo, yo, yo, yo."

"I hope there's wind!" Corey stated again as we made our way to a balcony.

"Is there wind?" Sam asked.

Colby held out his hand. "Bro, there's no wind. There's no fucking wind!"

"Wait, what?" Corey wondered.

"What do you mean?" Sam questioned.

"Look at this," Colby said. "This was going." He made swishing sounds as he swung his hand.

"As we walked up--"

"It stopped," Corey interrupted.

"Dude, dude, two seconds in!"

Colby had his hand in the air. "I'm feeling a draft."

I tugged on my sweatshirt, tightening it around my body. "I'm kinda cold suddenly, and you guys know I can handle cold."

Corey pointed to the flowers. "Dude, it literally stopped."

Colby fingered the paper flowers. "It was going like that. Dude, it was going this fast."

He moved it with his fingers as Sam turned the camera back to the way we'd come. "No, I got it on like film as soon as we walked away."

"Chills bro, chills!" Corey said.

"Already! It's been a matter of what, 30 seconds?"

"Shut up, bro. Yes, my eyes get watery when I get scared. Leave me alone. Juliet gets clingy when she's scared. Leave her alone. I made us three look."

"I don't know, I--"

"Caught our eye immediately," Colby said. "We're not even in the room yet."

"This is foot lettuce chills, bro," Jake replied.

"Foot lettuce chills?" Sam questioned.

"Foot lettuce chills?" I repeated. "Dude, what the heck? That sounds gross and painful."

Jake just shrugged and smiled cheekily.

Sam then looked at the camera. "Let's get to the room because, guys, we haven't even done our research, but all we know is this is one of the most famous haunted hotels ever."

We made our way to our room and as we walked through the halls, Jake asked, "You know what this reminds me of?"

"What?" Sam wondered.

"Have you guys seen The Shining?"

"Oh my God."

"Don't even say that!" Colby told him.

"You can't say that."

I got close to Colby's face and started chanting, "Redrum. Redrum. Red--" Colby covered my mouth with his hand.
