The Demon of Haunted Queen Mary Castle
Colby's POV:
Juliet's leg was bouncing from nervousness, and I placed a hand on her leg to ease her.
Our mission of the séance was to talk to Jean.
If we summoned anything bad, we would stop, as we didn't want to get haunted again.
Sam briefly mentioned Queen Mary and the insane communication we'd had.
We joined hands, and Jules placed her hand on my arm, since my other hand was holding the camera.
In unison we said, "We welcome all communication with spirits here."
I told the spirits that we meant no harm, that we just wanted to talk.
Sam asked if the energy that had spiked the K-2 was here with us, then asked if Jean Douglas was here with us.
The K-2 spiked and we heard a noise.
Juliet's grip tightened on my arm and I guessed she didn't like the sound.
I mentioned Jean's poem and the K-2 spiked. It kept spiking as we talked about her poem.
Jake asked Jean to make the K-2 spike red if she wanted us to read the poem, and it did.
Sam started reading the poem. ""O, lovers' eyes are sharp to see. And lovers' ears in hearing. And love, in life's extremity, can lend an hour of cheering. Disease had been in Mary's bower, and slow decay from mourning. Though now she sits on Neidpath's tower, to watch her love's returning... In all sunk and dim her eyes so bright, her farm decaying by pinning. Tel through her wasted hand at night, you saw the taper shining. By fits the sultry hectic hue, across her cheek was flying. By fit so ashy pale she grew, her maiden's thoughts her dying. Yet keenest powers to see and hear, seemed in her frame residing. Before the watchdog pricked his ears, she heard her lover's writing. Ears scarce a distance form was need, she knew and waved to greet him. In or the battlement did bend on the wing to meet him. He came, --he passed, --and heedless gaze, as o'er some stranger glancing; Her welcome, spoke in faltering phrase, lost in his courser's prancing. The castle arch whose hallow tone returns each whisper spoken. Could scarcely catch the feeble moan, which told her heart was broken." The end."
Sam asked if Jean liked the poem.
Corey got scared, seeing a shadow he'd thought to be furniture. He'd seen it while Sam was reading the poem. Jules looked back and frowned.
We heard an oohing noise from the room Jean had died in.
Jake was confused about what happened with Jean, so Sam re-explained it to him.
We all heard another oohing sound.
Jake pointed out that it could be crying, to which we agreed.
I wrapped my leg around Juliet's to comfort her, as both my hands were on the camera.
Corey and Jake asked to hear Jean's voice, as we wanted her to speak to us.
Sam asked for any spirit to give a sign and moments later, the K-2 meter started going off.
"How's it gonna answer that?" Jake wondered.
Corey picked up the rods. "With this. If you want to talk, make these cross."
Jules and I noticed the water splashing and Corey told the spirit to make the rods cross. The K-2 meter was also spiking again. The rods crossed before he could finish his sentence.
One of the other boys thought it could be Jean, but we doubted it. We figured there was another spirit here.
The air turned frigid, and we had goosebumps.
