Chapter 37

Juliet's POV:

The guys left for the Queen Mary, so Devyn and I remained behind.

I was sitting reading a book and noticed her walking up to me. "You, me, and Kat should go out tonight."

I frowed. "Kat and I can't drink."

She nodded. "I know. But I think we should do something since the boys are out."

An hour later, we were set. We arrived at a club after our Uber dropped us off. The club was 18+, so Kat and I were allowed in, even though we couldn't drink.

Along the line, I lost Kat and Devyn and started looking around for them.

A guy walked up to me and said, "You lost?"

I shook my head. "No, I'm not."

"You look lost. Let me help."

"I'm fine. Really." I answered, trying to walk away. Something about this guy made me feel off.

Luckily, Kat appeared and glared at the guy. "Back off."

He smirked and left. Kat glanced at me. "Are you okay, Juliet?"

"Yeah. I don't mean to spoil your night, but I'd really like to go."

"I'll get Devyn."

"Hey, uh, I don't want to tell Colby."

Kat frowned. "Then I'll tell him."

"He won't allow me to go out without him! He's so freaking overprotective!"

"Juliet, he cares about you a lot."

I scoffed. "Yeah, well, he has a funny way of showing it. Besides. Nothing happened."

Our Uber eventually arrived, and I got a FaceTime call from Colby. All was pleasant until he asked, "What happened at the club? Kat said a guy was hitting on you?"

"Yeah, nothing happened, though. I told him off, Kat rescued me, all was well."

"Do you need me to come home and kick that guy's ass?"

"No. Everything's good. We're gonna do a movie night."

"Don't stay up too late."

I smirked. "Yes, Dad."

Colby laughed. "Call me daddy. No, wait. Actually, don't."

"Anything interesting happening?"

"Yeah. A lot of crazy shit. I'll tell you later. Hey. I love you."

"I love you too. Stay safe, don't do something stupid."

"What, like summoning demons?"

"Yeah, exactly like that."

"I'll try not to. I've got to go. Enjoy your movie and I'll see you tomorrow, okay? Make sure you get some sleep."

He blew me a kiss and I caught it before the call ended.

We got back to the house and as soon as we walked inside, Kat asked, "What do you guys want to watch? I'm honestly in the mood for a chick-flick. I could go for The Notebook."

I grimaced slightly. "Cheesy af. But, sure. We have popcorn and movie snacks?"

Devyn nodded and walked over to the cabinet she and Corey shared. "I have mint Oreos."

"Perfect. Popcorn, Oreos, I have Skittles and M&Ms. Both sour and regular Skittles. We also have both two liter and cans of tonic. I don't want caffeinated tonic, so I'll stick with Sprite."
