Chapter 76

Sam and Colby: Most Haunted Hotel in Florida / Biltmore Presidential Suite

Juliet's POV:

Colby smiled. "You ready?"

"Uh, yeah. I think so," I replied.

"Oh, by the way, we hired an exorcist."

"Okay. Great."

Sam looked at me. "Wait. Seriously?"

"Yeah. An exorcist gets rid of evil spirits. All good in my book. Colbs, where's that sweatshirt I like?"

He handed it to me and I put it on.

We made our way to Jake's apartment and Colby stood facing us as he pushed open the door with his foot.

"I said hello!" Jake yelled in an accent.

"Hello," the three of us replied.

Jake appeared at the door. "That's hello in British."

Colby told Jake that we were going to the Langham Hotel and after he opened the door again, Sam told him that we were seeing an exorcist tonight.

"We gotta go exercise," Colby said.

Jake then wondered about exorcisms and Corey's butt, to which I rolled my eyes.

Jake then asked, "What'd Juliet think of the whole exorcist thing?"

"She's all for it," Colby replied.

"Really?"

I nodded. "Mm-hmm. Getting rid of bad spirits with a professional? Heck yes."

We picked up Corey, meaning I was squished in the middle once again.

Jake joked that we were seeing a personal trainer.

Sam explained that we were seeing an exorcist for Corey's problems, and Jake teased him about his "problems". We'd be seeing a witch.

Corey told us that when he returned to his house, it smelt of gas. It'd happened three times in the past week.

I frowned. "That's not good at all. You're okay, right?"

"Yeah, I'm fine, Juliet," Corey answered.

We entered the witch's house and sat down on the couch. Sam pulled out his laptop.

The witch asked if we knew what sign we were. "Capricorn," Colby said.

"So it's your birthday soon?" The witch asked.

"January 2nd. So it just happened."

"Okay, cool. I'm February 2nd."

"Oh, cool, cool."

"Gemini," Jake said.

Sam said he was Sagittarius and I said that I was Virgo.

The witch smiled. "Capricorn and Virgo are a good match."

Colby nodded, smiling at me. "Yeah, they are."

The witch introduced herself. Her name was Gabriela and she'd been a practicing witch since 12-13, and was now 26.

Sam asked if she believed in demons and angry spirits.

She'd dated people with negative energy, attached spirits.

Sam told her that we, mostly the boys, winged it, causing us to get in some bad water.

Once Corey moved to sit between Sam and Gabriela, Sam explained about the paranormal following us over the past year, and said it'd been affecting Corey for longer and was affecting his family.
