Colby's POV:
I woke up before Jules and found myself watching her.
I got up and walked downstairs. Sam might have an idea to help with my dilemma. Luckily, he was sitting in the kitchen, so I sat across from him.
He looked up at me. "What's going on?"
"I don't know what to do."
"I'm not sure I get what you mean."
"Juliet. I really like her, but I want to be friends with her too. What do I do?"
"You could always be friends with benefits." Sam joked.
I shook my head. "No. I don't want to do that to her. She's worth so much more than that. Besides; I don't think she'd like that."
"No, probably not. See if she's ready to date. Bring it up subtly. And before you ask, no. I'm not gonna do it for you. This is your job."
"Wasn't gonna ask you to do it for me."
"To do what for you?" Juliet's voice asked.
I turned to her. "Nothing. Morning, sleepyhead. How was your sleep?"
"Good, but I'm tired."
"Wanna go for a coffee run?"
Her eyes instantly brightened. "Would you really do that for me?"
I'd do anything for you, Jules. "Of course. We'll shower later, okay?"
She looked down at herself and said, "I hate going out unshowered. I'll be quick, okay? You be quick too."
I laughed. "Quick is not an option. How does afternoon coffee sound?"
"Sounds great."
We got ready, and met up downstairs. Jules was wearing a Panic! shirt, black jeans, and was slipping on a Take Chances sweatshirt. "Did you steal that from me?"
She nodded. "It's soft and comfy. I'm cold."
"It's April. How are you cold?"
"I get cold easily. Okay?"
"Okay. Let's go. Starbucks sound good to you?"
She grimaced. "Starbucks is nasty. Dunkin' all the way."
"I know, Jules. I was teasing."
"Good. Mmm. A large regular sounds really good right now. Or as you LA people say, a large coffee with four creams and four sugars."
"Oh, so now I'm an LA person?"
"Yes. Wait. Where are you from?"
"Kansas."
"Nice. Boston's better."
"Yeah, okay. Someone's biased."
Jules crossed her arms. "Coffee."
"We're here. Chill."
I decided to get an iced tea, and bought Jules her drink. Apparently, I confused her. "I wanted to."
She shrugged. "I'm not complaining."
A couple fans came up to us and one of them glared at Jules. "Do you have a problem with me?"
"Actually, yeah. Why are you with my man?"
"Sweetheart, he's not your man. You don't own him, so don't go claiming you own him."
"Oh, like you do? I bet your niceness and non-cussing is just a front. I bet you're actually a bitch."
I saw a dark look in Juliet's eye, and I wanted to defend her, but she motioned for me to stay back. "Keep talking and see just how mean I can be."
