Colby and I made our way back to LA at the end of the week. I wanted to stay in Boston, but I had a life on the opposite side of the country, and needed to go back, as much as I didn't want to.
As we left the plane, Colby immediately asked, "You okay?"
I frowned at him. "Can you stop asking me that? I'm tired of answering that question. Yes, I'm okay."
He nodded slowly before saying, "Okay. Glad you are. Our Uber will be here soon. Come on."
We got our bags and got outside just as our Uber arrived. We climbed in and Colby tried to talk, but I was exhausted. I rested my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes.
Colby's POV:
As Jules slept on my shoulder, I got a weird flashback to when we'd met. She had done the same thing after Elton's Super Trampoline Park video. I didn't know we'd be together, but I hoped we'd be. Time and life are funny things.
We arrived at the house and I gently shook her awake. She groaned and stumbled out of the car.
I thanked our driver and unlocked the gate before we walked into the house.
Corey grinned, seeing Jules. "Hey! How was Boston?"
"Mmm." Jules muttered before curling up on the wood floor.
He glanced down at her and back up at me. "She's tired. Boston was good. I think those two weeks there did her some good."
"Do you think she'll be okay?" Devyn asked. "Because she's scared all of us and I can't lose my friend. I've already almost lost her once. I don't think I can do it again. No, I can't do it again."
I shook my head. "I can't either. Yeah, I think she'll be okay."
They nodded and I picked up my sleeping girlfriend and walked upstairs. I laid her in my bed and after getting ready for bed, climbed in after her.
I woke up the next morning around ten and was alone.
My bedroom door opened and my girlfriend walked in wearing black shorts and a white shirt. I must have looked confused because she said, "I'm trying this new thing where I dress in brighter colors. It's actually helping my mood."
"Don't feel like you have to change, Juliet."
She shook her head. "I'm not changing for you. It's for me."
"If it makes you feel better, by all means. Go ahead. Not that you need my approval, cause you don't."
Jules raised an eyebrow. "Colby, you're rambling."
"Oh. Right. Today is a good day?"
"Yeah. It is. I'm gonna record a song. I'm debating between Outcast by NF and Living Louder by The Cab."
"Do both. Put them up a week apart. That's what I sometimes do when I can't decide between videos."
She frowned and nodded. "Okay. Good idea. Thanks, babe." She kissed me before picking up her guitar and strumming out a few chords.
Jules looked up at me silently telling me to go so she could record and I made my way downstairs. Jake wanted to film a Farm Five skit anyway.
Juliet's POV:
"Hello, world of YouTube, and welcome back to more music. I'm still debating whether I should create a second channel for music or not. So, I'm going to be playing one of my all time favorite Cab songs; Living Louder. Thanks for the request haley_heart. Hope you enjoy."
I strummed out the first chord and immediately started feeling the song in my soul as I always do.
When it finished, I let the final chord ring out and looked at the camera solemnly before smiling. "I take requests for the time being. Likes are much appreciated, as I'm still nervous to put my voice out there. I'll be back next week with more cringe-worthy content."
I then recorded myself doing Outcast and decided to put that one up first. I then put up a message saying that I'd do two videos a week. Saturdays would be for music and Wednesdays would be my normal videos.
I started browsing through the comments as I always liked to do.
'Juliet rapping an entire song? I am so here for it! You go, girl!'
'I mean, I knew Juliet could rap, but damn, girl. You're awesome'
'I am so glad you've started putting up music. And now you're rapping on camera? Yes!'
Colby reappeared and immediately pulled up my video to watch it. He didn't usually watch videos he wasn't in, but he always watched mine; regardless if he was in them or not.
When it finished, he looked up at me and smiled. "I'm proud of you, Juliet. Prouder than you know."
I returned his smile and kissed his cheek. "Thank you for being so supportive. You have no idea how much it means to me."
"No, I don't, but this is a huge thing for you to do, and the least I can do is support you."
"You're the best. I don't deserve you."
Colby frowned. "That cliché line? Thanks." He then started laughing. "No, if anyone doesn't deserve someone, I don't deserve you. You're the best thing to ever happen to me. I can see a future with you, and it's exciting."
I honestly wasn't sure what to say, so I remained silent. Colby glanced at me. "Say something."
"I don't know where I'd be without you. Probably not even here. No, definitely not. And though it's hard to see right now, I do want a future with you."
"I'll take want. On a whole other note, do you want to explore an abandoned hospital?"
I shook my head. "No, because everytime I do, something always happens, and I'd rather not die today."
"I wouldn't let you die. You know that, right?"
"Doesn't mean I won't get hurt or terrified. You two enjoy your exploration. Stay safe, don't do anything too stupid."
Colby saluted me before kissing me and leaving for his exploration.
I resumed my strumming and sang along to a few songs before falling asleep. I wanted to stay awake for when Colby got back, but my body betrayed me and made me fall asleep.
[NF is great. If you haven't listened to his music, check him out. I'm personally not a fan of rap, but his music is real life and relatable. I highly recommend his music.]
