Sam and Colby's video: it was hard to say goodbye...

Juliet's POV:

"What's up, guys?" Colby said. "It's Sam and Colby."

"And welcome to video number 20!" Sam cried, causing us to cheer. "Today, we're going dogsledding. Whoo!"

I frowned. "Why did I not know this? You two know how I feel about dogs."

Colby took my hand. "Sorry, babe. We'll make it up to you. We are in Alaska again, guys. Very up north."

"Oh my God," Sam said. "Hopefully this is our last cold video for a minute. I'm getting sick of the cold! But I'm not sick of donkeys. Juliet, stop smiling. No cold videos."

I glanced up at him. "Yes to more cold videos. You're weird, Sam."

Colby spoke. "Almost off of us have had dogs. Jules has cats. Guys, show her some love, because she's clearly not excited for this video." He turned to Nate. "You got a little Corgi that's kinda stupid back home, right?"

"Bro, he's disproportionate," Nate said.

"I love you," Sam stated.

Colby continued. "I have two dogs in Kansas. My parents just moved. I have two dogs back at home. And then Sam."

Sam looked up. "My dog just died."

"RIP."

"All right, not gon -- Okay."

"I'm sorry."

"On that sad note, we have been talking about this since the very beginning. Apparently Juliet either hasn't been in the room or hasn't been listening. I don't know if you remember our conversation in Dino Park. One of the things that you said, yo, what would you wanna do if you didn't have to do only haunted anymore? We literally said, dogs."

Colby pointed to Sam. "And specifically we said dogsledding to the Northern Lights." He glanced at me to see a smile. "Jules has always wanted to see the Northern Lights, so I think she'll manage the dogs to be able to see the lights. Right, Jules?"

I nodded. "He's not wrong."

"Which is a possibility tonight!" Sam exclaimed.

Colby went on to say, "Obviously we have no control if it actually happens or not. It's kind of looking a little cloudy out right now, so we don't know if we're gonna be able to see it, but we're hopefully gonna be able to see it tonight.

"Like and subscribe for the Northern Lights," Nate and I added.

"There we go," Sam said.

Colby commented about more hair being in Nate's noodles and Sam suggested we meet the dogs.

Colby said, "Let's meet the dogs and the instructor." He clicked his tongue.

We made our way to the dogs and I stayed behind Colby.

Our instructor Lisbet, an Alaskan native, told us that she had 47 Siberian huskies and that it was instinct for them to run, so they didn't have to be taught to pulled or run.

The boys dragged Nate through the snow and jokingly decided he was the new sled.

We had 20 dogs to harness, which didn't sound like an easy task.

Huskies were brought out and when one was placed in front of me, my breath hitched.

Colby glanced at me and asked softly, "Are you okay?"

I nodded slowly, reaching out my hand tentatively. The dog sniffed my hand, then rubbed his head against it as my cats had done countless times. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad. I could handle calm dogs.
