The next morning, after sleeping in the fort I built, I left said fort and walked upstairs to Colby's room.

I set up my camera and grabbed my guitar. Since I'd been playing the songs since I learned to play, I'd memorized them already.

I turned on the camera and sat in front of it. "Hello, world of YouTube. Today, I'm going to do something that's never been done before. On my channel, that is. I'm going to be singing. Please be nice, as I've never sung on camera before. I'm going to be dedicating this first song to my ma. I'll be doing her favorite My Chemical Romance song, The Ghost of You. Hope you enjoy."

As soon as I finished the song, I looked into the camera. "For now, I'll take requests. Let me know if I should create a separate channel for music. Thanks, guys for all the support. It means more than you know. Anyway, I'll be back next week with more cringeworthy content."

I turned off the camera and started editing my video. Since it was short, it didn't need a whole ton of editing. I had to put up a video for the day, so I did so.

Once it was up, I started reading through the comments.

'Omg, Juliet has an amazing voice!'

'You've got a beautiful voice. The song sounds amazing with your voice! I'm not sure if it's too triggering for you, but I'd suggest Therapy by All Time Low'

'I'm proud of you, girlie'

'This sounds amazing, babe. I'm so proud of you. I love you so much'

I hearted some of the comments and found myself staring at Colby's comment. My friends support was amazing, and I felt incredibly lucky to have them in my life.

I started making a list of some of the songs people had sent me. Most of them were pop punk, as people knew that's what I listen to. A couple people suggested NF, which would be interesting to do. I mean, people knew I was able to rap. I hadn't kept that secret.

My fans were amazing. They were so positive and caring; even more so after my video telling why I had taken a break.

The likes far outweighed the dislikes, not that that mattered to me, but it was nice to see so much positivity with something I was nervous to post.

Even though it'd been mentioned that I could sing, they still seemed surprised.

Colby appeared and said, "I've seen the comments. I think you made a good call, deciding to post a video of you singing. People love it."

I smiled and replied, "I don't think I've ever seen this much positivity in my comments before. Usually people are pretty neutral."

"Pretty sure it's because you've never done this before and asked them to be nice. And it's something new. For the record, I think you should create another channel for covers."

"You do?"

"Yeah. Separates your regular videos from covers. I mean, you don't have to. It's only if you want to."

"For now, I think I'll keep them together, maybe create a cover channel in time."

"Whatever works for you, whatever you want. I'm so proud of you, Jules."

I frowned slightly. "Can we stop talking about this? All I did was sing. I don't feel the need to make a big deal out of it."

Colby nodded. "Sure. Do you have plans today?"

"No, what'd you have in mind?"

"Exploring?"

"Are you gonna take me somewhere scary?"
