Sam's video: Don't Choose The WRONG Straw...
Sam's POV:
"What's up, guys, I'm back. As you can see, I'm not actually wearing my brace." I twisted a bit. "Isn't that incredible. This week I actually go back in to get X-rays which I'll show you an update next week on and they'll tell me if I'm alive or not. If I can continue not wearing the brace. 'Cause I wear it 99% of the time, guys. Chill. That's good news." I did a thumbs up. "And in other good news, we got XPLR merch." I held it out. "We got a little ghosty. If you take a snapshot picture of this, it glows. Go check out that XPLR merch and as always, when we drop XPLR merch, that means XPLR videos are coming. Wink. Wink. But enough announcements. Let's get into the main part of the video."
As I set cards on the table, I said, "All right, guys. Today's game is Don't Pick the Wrong Straw. I saw a bunch of people doin' this on YouTube and I decided, let's do this with my friends." I placed a bag on the table. "So I went to the store, obviously with gloves and a mask, and I bought a bunch of drinkable liquids some that taste really bad, and some that taste really good. And I put four pieces of paper in a hat, one marks an X. There are five people, but one person requested to watch and I decided to be nice and let them, due to circumstance. The person who picks the x will pick one other player and those two will each have to drink one of the random liquids. Now the thing is, the people that are not picked are the ones who get to choose what the two contestants have to drink. Each of those drinks will be hidden inside a cardboard box, with a straw, and you don't wanna pick the wrong straw. Point of the game? Let's go show a bunch of liquids in my roommates' mouths. Let's go."
I gathered my roommates. Juliet grabbed her peppermint tea and followed us into the room I'd set everything up in.
"Feeling okay?" Colby asked.
She nodded and kissed his cheek. "Thanks for the tea."
"Anytime."
"All right, guys, today we gon' be suckin' liquids down."
The guys looked at me and nodded and I continued. "It depends on what you guys wanna suck."
Corey asked where the video was going and I jokingly told him we'd do an extended version later, earning a weird look from Juliet.
"The game is simple. There are gon' be two liquids. And two people over here, and two people over there decide what liquids the other two have to suck."
"So we're enemies," Jake said.
"We're animes," Corey repeated jokingly.
"You're enemies," I confirmed.
Juliet gestured between us. "I'm basically Switzerland."
"Oh, please, we all know you're gonna be cheering on Colby," Jake told her.
She shrugged. "Likely, yes. Especially when he's up. But I'll try to be Switzerland." She closed her eyes a moment and drank some of her ginger tea.
"Jake, you wanna go first?" I held out the hat to Jake.
Corey and Colby were talking behind Jake and he glanced at them and yelled, "Shut up! All right. I'm filming, Colby and Corey."
Colby picked his piece of paper next and flung the remaining papers in the air.
"Why did you do that?" I asked.
Juliet shook her head. "Babe, come on."
He ran over to her and kissed her before running back.
"You forgot to write something on mine," Jake said.
"You forgot to write something on mine as well," Corey added.
