TFIL Australia - Late October 2018
Juliet's POV:
Elton had us film a melodramatic intro in front of the Sydney Opera House.
Corey's bag had gotten lost thanks to Virgin Airlines. The weather had lied, meaning rain 4-5 months early.
Corey then said, "You know what that means. Wherever us boys are, it gets wet."
I swatted Corey's head. Elton told us we were going to climb the Sydney Harbor Bridge. Unfortunately, we didn't have our filming equipment, so we couldn't film our first video.
Corey did an awkward smile, Colby welcomed people to Disney channel before pulling me in next to him.
Elton said that if the video got 100,000 likes, he'd grab Corey's harness and throw him off the bridge. He got a swat for that and frowned. "I didn't miss that."
Next up was sharks. I smirked at Elton and he said, "Don't you dare."
"Swimming with the sharks until we drown." I sang.
"God dammit, Juliet."
Corey, meanwhile, had his hands on his hips and was freaking out a little. Elton had told him manta rays and hadn't mentioned the sharks.
Most of the got into wetsuits, and Corey wasn't because he'd said his lung collapsed. He was joking, but wasn't able to swim due to his health. I wasn't because I still couldn't swim. Lame, I know.
Colby cursed at Elton while looking up at the sky. The guys then started singing the Baby Shark song while Colby and I plugged our ears.
When we got to the location, the instructor told Sam to bend over and touch his toes. The guys, of course, made sexual jokes.
The guys started getting into the water, and Corey and I watched them appear from the outside.
While Corey filmed, the guys were dancing and waving at the people watching from outside.
Colby was dabbing and Elton was threatening to pull my boyfriend's oxygen tank, so I glared at him through the glass. He then threatened to do his own and did so, but put it back moments later.
Elton licked the glass while the rest of us waved to a little kid. Corey did the whip with the boys. I refused.
They did some model poses before getting out.
They got certificates for swimming with sharks and we made our way to our hotel. It had neon looking lights, which was cool.
Corey, Sam, and Corey started dancing, and then I popped out from the pillar to the left of Sam.Corey and Sam then flossed while Elton switched the camera between them.
Day 3
Canyoning in Australia. Heck yes. The cliff was 200 meters, 600 feet high. We'd be repelling off of it. Corey, as I expected, was terrified.
The other guys were nervous, and I was honestly really excited.
Because Corey had lost at mini golf last night, he was going first.
We drove to the area and walked across the road and through the forest to get to the cliff. Colby went to pee before we started.
While we waited to go, we were given instructions. We walked through freezing water, which I didn't have too much of a problem with. Maybe that's due to the fact that I'm used to the cold. Ish. And, the best part is, it was shallow enough so I didn't have to worry about drowning.
As we climbed down, Sam said it looked like we were in a movie. We came to a rock that the first time the instructor had climbed down, he fell, so we had to be careful.
Elton noticed a massive spider and Corey said that it looked as big as a football stadium. A miniature lego football stadium.
We had to separate our legs so we wouldn't fall and Colby glanced back and said, "Oh, yeah, babe."
I shot him a sarcastic smirk and made a point of rolling my eyes and he added, "Rude."
Corey and Elton said they had something to do, so they'd join us later. Elton then asked if Corey missed TFIL, and the obvious answer was no; though I suspected he was lying.
Elton went down first, then Sam, then Corey, then Colby, then me. The guys were cheering for Corey. We decided to prank Elton and Sam by throwing Corey's bag down.
Sam reminded us that Elton had said this would be a relaxed and casual trip, which Sam and Colby objected to. I've been going on runs, so I've become more fit.
Along the line, we took a break for food, and Colby pretended a pepper was a snake, so we had a battle of the snakes. Red against yellow. Frankly, I'm not sure who won.
Sam, Colby, and I had all gone down a steeper cliff. Corey appeared next, leaving Elton as the last for the 60 foot cliff.
The final cliff would be 200 meters, 600 feet. We started doing the warm dance, confusing Elton.
This was the cliff Corey would do first. He kept trying to reason with Elton against it, but Elton wouldn't let up.
We got to the top of the cliff and saw the view. My gosh was it beautiful. The sun was peeking from behind the clouds, almost like the heavens were opening up.
Elton ultimately ended up going first because Corey put up such a fight.
Corey was going second. Colby, Sam, and I looked down at him and cheered when he landed in the water. Colby went next.
Sam was next to go down, and glanced at me. "Do you want to go next or do you want me to?"
I motioned for him to go and once Sam was down, I hooked myself in and started repelling down. Since I had a GoPro attached to my head, the viewers could hear and see me. "Okay, this isn't as bad as I thought. I can do this."
I made it down at a reasonably fast pace and heard the guys cheering for me. The second I hit the water, I splashed it and cried, "Yeah!"
