Day 6
The next morning, Elton told us we would be seeing monkeys. Normally, I would be super excited, but I was tired. Elton was nice and made a stop for coffee. He told the viewers, "Juliet drinks so much coffee, it's a wonder she's still alive. Kidding. But without coffee, well, let's just say you don't want to be around her."
Jay and Brennen started talking about their championship bruises and I pointed to them. "Exactly why I didn't do that last night. I might not be around to see the monkeys."
We left the hotel and Elton told us we had to walk 25 minutes upstairs. Gee, thanks, Elton. Maybe I should've done sumo-wrestling last night, or maybe not, because I was still alive.
We stopped near a fan and took some time to cool off. Colby noticed Jay was wearing deodorant and Colby jokingly asked him if he was.
Brennen pulled off his shirt and Colby commented that he would if he had muscles. I looked at him and said, "Flex as hard as you can."
He did so and I squeezed his arm. "See? You have muscles."
Colby grinned and kissed my cheek while Elton panned the camera towards the monkeys.
He pulled his shirt off and stuck it in my backpack before taking it from me. I was glad he did, because that backpack was freaking heavy. I walked closer to a baby monkey to observe it and Colby suddenly pulled me away. I frowned. "What the heck?"
"Did you not see the mom getting closer to you?"
"No. What was she doing?"
"Walking closer to you. She didn't like how close you were to her baby."
"Well, uh, thanks for saving my life, I guess."
We jumped, hearing a branch snap. It was a monkey that caused us to get scared. Brennen ran back towards us, since he was ahead of us.
I took Colby's hand, as we'd do that in TFIL videos before we were dating, and took some pictures of monkeys. In a high-pitched voice, I said, "They're adorable!"
Brennen's eyes widened. "How in the hell did that sound come out of your mouth?"
"Pure, unadulterated talent, my friend."
He then ruffled my hair. "Look at this cutie. No wonder Colby's got an eye for you."
Colby's cheeks reddened and he said, "Oh, my God, guys. Shut up."
We got to the top and grabbed food for the monkeys. Brennen and I started feeding them. Elton was cheering for one to do something cool and then tried feeding a monkey, but didn't want to put in the work. A couple monkeys near Jay were fighting and I glanced to see that Elton had decided to put in effort to feed his monkey.
The food I had was gone, so I studied the monkeys. Brennen and Colby were still feeding the monkeys. Every so often, I grabbed food from Colby's hand because I didn't feel like going all the way back to get more. Brennen was showing Colby how to feed the monkeys properly.
Along the line, Colby touched a baby monkey's arm and jolted his arm back slightly. I raised an eyebrow and asked, "What, did he use an Electroshock on you?"
"No, but he did shock me."
"So, Electroshock."
Colby frowned. "No, Jules. Not Electroshock. I was just caught off-guard."
We trudged through Kyoto as we continued exploring. We came to a forest and I saw that Brennen had taken off his shirt. "Everytime. Brennen; can't you go a day without taking off your shirt?"
